I agree, guys. But the less I say about Jason, the better off my mental health is, tbh.

In positive news . . . I finished piecing together the clips today for a fic trailer for Constant, and I’m so happy with the way it turned out!

Thanks, Michelle. Glad that you enjoyed reading that, honestly it was cathartic for me to write it too.

I don’t think that he confirmed there that romantic Bellarke would most definitely happen (the words he used were “if it makes sense”, I’m sure that is his caveat ) but he definitely hinted strongly towards it, I agree. But yeah, that was so long ago and who even knows if he has changed his mind or intends to follow through on what he said there.

I know that I’m going to be so angry if Bellarke doesn’t become canon by the finale but I keep trying to remind myself of that fact, that we were blessed to get this beautiful and deep relationship between Bellamy and Clarke regardless of how it ends.

It would honestly be so much easier and less painful to ship the canon ships (Becho comes to mind) ... so it’s really not a matter of shippers being stubborn and just wanting a typical male/female pairing on the show, I feel like we get accused of that all the time and it’s unfair.

Also, just wanted to add, it’s just nice to have discussions in here instead of just posting quotes and stuff. So, I hope that continues even as we enter the dreaded hiatus period.

I don’t even want to think of either/both of them dying but if it has to happen, I agree with this:

I agree with Jaclyn and Marcella there. But man, I don’t want either of them to die. After everything they’ve been through, I want them to get to live. Together, of course.

They deserve to live after all they’ve been through, and together as well. I’m just not sure that I trust the show to give them that ending though. An epilogue like The Hunger Games would be nice, but I doubt it.

So last night I met with some students for our little kickoff event for the year, and the first student I met said, “Bellarke!” Someone has told him about my obsession. Isn’t that kind of awesome?

For the record, what I said about a negative thread was meant in the context of discussing these kinds of sentiments by Jason and whatever Kim said a few days ago. An anti(I assume anti-ship) thread where people go to actively hate on a pairing would be in poor taste and just...mean. Not what I meant, I swear

I just wanted to clear that up in case people really thought I was looking for a thread to antagonize others.

I didn't think that! Usually I think we could use the general discussion thread for that Although we have to be careful of veering into bashing territory/bashing real-life people territory.

I can't be convinced that at some point they didn't consider romantic Bellarke, but then pushed them aside (possibly more than once) due to...whatever. I have convinced myself!

Kallor, not to worry , sorry if I implied that before but that was not my intention ... and I probably should have said a Rant thread instead. We have one on the Bob board, but not here. It’s really not that bad but we generally prefer not to talk about Kim and her usually anti Bellarke comments in the thread. But also, I don’t want anyone to feel like they can’t talk about it here either so if you would like to discuss it here, I am okay to.

April. I know right? The last few episodes did a number on me, I really swung from pretty positive to pessimistic again. I’m just frustrated by the scenes showing us one thing and TPTB telling us we are misinterpreting scenes.

And your students know you so well by now. I keep my fandom stuff pretty much to myself since my sister doesn’t ship on the show. #sad

I don't stay optimistic for long tbh.

Bellarke can die together at the very end........after they've lived a very happy life together and had 3 babies and are old and grey.

Well, that is pretty optimistic, Kate. At this point, I just want them to have their respective happy endings (even if they don’t end up together ) and for them to remain alive.

My main priority is honestly Bellamy not ending up with Echo. A popular, beloved character deserves a popular, beloved ship.

Completely agree. Even many Becho fans are not happy with season 6 Becho. How could they be? The writing was terrible. Bellamy's mind and heart ultimately was on two people: Clarke and Octavia. Echo was a distant third and a case can be made she wasn't even third. If Jason wants people on board with Becho he's not doing a good job of making us see why they should be together. I am beginning to think he just threw them together because he likes Tasya and in his mind, it gives him a good enough reason not to kill off Echo. I have no idea. I just know that putting Bellarke aside for a second... if you are a fan of Bellamy... there's 16 episodes left of the series and he's romantically linked to someone most people still aren't convinced he should be with long term. Clarke, she's free and single. If Bellarke doesn't happen romantically, I'd love for Clarke to end the series happy, single, a mother, with lots of friends. When I think of Bellamy... his romantic life is not settled in the least (and he could end up with someone we haven't been convinced he should be with). It is concerning.
