I would suggest to go to Kim’s Twitter account and see her tweets/replies yourself to know what Bellarkers are not happy about (posted last Friday/Saturday).

We do not ban talk about it on here, but it’s just something that a few of us prefer not to address here but you guys can bring it up here if you wish.

Same, the GIFsets and videos usually keep us afloat during hiatus and helps a ton.

Thank you, really glad you feel that way! Fanforum allows anti threads to be set up but I’m personally against the idea, since it tends to cause more drama/unhappiness than anything else (differs from board to board though). This board was more volatile when the shipping wars were at its highest (season 3, god that was bad) but it’s been relatively nice and peaceful since then. The threads that April suggested are a good avenue for those points that you’d like to convey.

Okay, prefacing this by saying that I actually didn’t get the vibe that they were about to kiss in this scene (I know a lot of Bellarkers thought that they were going to, especially after the first hug) ... but it’s interesting how even someone who didn’t want them to kiss thought they were going to.



Also, “Honestly, why haven’t they kissed?” because what a mood. (okay, he really needs to break up with Echo first though)

Also, someone shared that they observed from various reactors (comprising Bellarkers, Clexas, antis and neutrals) and most of them thought that they were going to kiss in this scene. Interesting but also aggravating, considering Jason’s recent comment. When everyone sees it but the showrunner says otherwise, it’s frustrating.

Never really crossed my mind that they would kiss there, but that’s more because of what I thought the writers would allow than any real reading of the scene. I will admit that earlier in the season when Bellamy revived Clarke, I thought it might happen when she woke up. I’m a pretty firm believer that it will only happen in the final stretch of episodes, but they had me wondering for a second in that scene.

I didn't think they'd kiss there but there's definitely some sort of vibe that makes it seem like it was possible.

When she woke up in the CPR scene I swear it looked like she was looking at his lips.

I agree with you both, I felt like that vibe was moreso in the CPR scene ... especially the way that Clarke looked at Bellamy once she woke up.

You’re probably right, Kallor ... if it happens at all (and that’s a big ‘if’), it will only be in the last few episodes, which I feel would rob Bellarkers of being able to see this ship come to fruition after such a long time shipping them. But hey, I’ll still take it at this point.

I don’t care, this is not how someone looks when she is happy for her best friend being with someone else. She looked sad.

Yeah, honestly ... the less I know of Kim’s comments from now on, the better.

I wonder how many more times they intend to show Clarke’s reaction to her platonic soulmate hugging his girlfriend and looking crushed/sad. What is even the point of that if they’re not going to go there with Bellarke?

And agreed about the anti thread.

He is the only one she wanted comfort from when it comes to her mother, because he’s always been that person for her.

Yep. I didn’t think they would kiss, either, but just the fact that so many people feel the vibe and feel like it’s possible and/or should happen says something. It’s also quite telling that it’s not only Bellarke shippers who feel this way.

Exactly, it would be one thing to brush it off as us having on shipper eyes but people who don't even want them as a couple are seeing the romance in them now.

Not sure what Jason feels he's accomplishing if he leaves Bellarke officially only platonic in label (in his mind, even if the screen screams otherwise) at the end of the series. Not saying he closely follows the books or even cares what Kass Morgan thinks. But she's got to be wondering why he's not putting her coveted romantic pairing together. I follow her on Twitter and she adores Bellarke, they are her baby. She also loves Beliza. She is not shy about saying as much. So he's failing the "based on a book series" part without a romantic Bellarke on his screen. Sorry, but they are too big in the book series. Second, if he plans on anything The 100-related as far as projects, he has to know what pissing off such a large fanbase will do to the numbers and his chances of success. Lastly, if he just wants to give himself a fist pump for not going there, so be it. But I have a feeling he might look back in years to come and feel like he should have done things differently. Only time will tell what he decides to do with these last 16 episodes of the series.

I agree, guys. When people who have NO emotional investment in the relationship (or less so, than Bellarkers) see it, there's a clear disconnect with what TPTB is saying vs what the audience is seeing. And that is 100% not OUR fault.

You would think this is the logical way of thinking, right? I definitely think the next series/prequel/spinoff will suffer if fans are upset about how The 100 ends. But I feel like Jason absolutely does what he wants to do, and he won't be swayed by fan pressure OR what the author thinks. He knows that he can probably cite taking liberties when it comes to the source material and after all, he's said before that fans who want to see romantic!Bellarke can read the books. He's also said differing things like acknowledging that he knows WHY fans want them together and that we can interpret it any way we like, but I feel like that's just him baiting us until the very end. He knows how popular the ship is, how a lot of the remaining fans want them together and most of those that don't have already left the fandom. He knows that he struck absolute gold with Beliza's chemistry and that they're amazing in every single scene he puts them in. He knows. Whether he's actually going to utilise all that ... your guess is as good as mine, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I do agree that if he doesn't make them canon by the end of the series, he might look back and regret it many years down the line. Unfortunately, for us, the damage would have been done by then and can't be fixed.

Anyway ...

You know what scene this suddenly reminds me of? When Bellamy/Clarke talk on the radio in season 2 once he's in Mount Weather and Clarke tells him "You came through. I knew you would." The parallel, she sent him signals ... not even knowing if it would reach him/someone else but he saw the signal and he came through and rescued her.

^ Nice thoughts, Sarah. Completely agree. Logic is probably not in the cards, sadly. Like you said, he will do what he wants regardless.

I mean, you read this very old quote:



He literally said romantic Bellarke will happen. He said it a long time ago of course (and has since mentioned the platonic soulmates BS) but he still said it. Does he remember this? Is it still in play and he refuses to go there until the very end? Who knows.

Either way... it is refreshing to ship a pairing in Bellarke that have the most intense, intimately connected, beautiful, special, magical scenes of the entire series. No matter what happens, we will always have these moments with this beautiful pairing.
