They were flirting in the pilot. It was like they toyed with the idea and then just dropped it. When I watched the pilot, I thought that we might get a little more Finn/Octavia than we got.
I think deciding that they wanted to keep Jasper around maybe shifted the direction that they were initially going in.  I thought it was interesting how most of the season, Finn/Octavia agreed on how to handle things so at the very least, I could see maybe more of a friendship developing between them.__________________

By all means please put Finn with anyone other than Clarke. I thought maybe he could work stuff out with Raven, but..

I'd like to see Finn with someone that he basically has a clean slate with and Octavia would be one of those people. His relationships with both Clarke and Raven are very tainted with lies and deceit, IMO.
Octavia already has two romantic options at this point so I don't see them giving her a third anytime soon but I really would like to see a friendship develop between them. __________________
