I finally did my hair! It's been like 5 months since I've colored it, so luckily it came out pretty well and healthy enough. I wont be bleaching it any more after this but I do want to keep it for a while. I kept my roots as they are because eventually i want it all my natural color. I think it turned out pretty well!

yes lisa! plus its damaging! this ombre thing is going to allow my roots to continue to grow with me still being able to get that brighter color in there.

i think in october i want to try purple and then i might go back to my natural color after that.

I'm slowly lightening my hair ... it's one shade lighter than it was, the last time I dyed it. But eventually I'll dye it back to my natural jet black hair and let the poor thing rest.

Every time I gave in to the temptation and had it cut short, I end up regretting it.

Thankfully i dont really have to work about my job because as a dance teacher we are "creative" minds and hair is an expression of that.

i dont want like a crazy purple but I love the ends purple, or that lavender purple look. Id do a temporary color too as i wouldnt want to keep the purple too long but id love to be a fairy or a unicorn for halloween and it would fit great.

natural LOL, but well, more so than a bright purple. and even just the ends of the hair maybe not the whole thing.



Also Sarah its great to let it rest. When I wasnt dying it it was so healthy and now with the bleach back in it it just feels a bit fried again. Not bad but not as soft as it was. So Im already itching to go back to my natural color but i haven't touched my roots since i last dyed them in like november so i just want to let them keep growing.

paula i am the same about cutting my hair. the last time i cut it short i regretted it and it took way too long to grow so i wont cut it short any time soon. i think collarbone length is a good "short" length because it grows back quick from that point.

IKR? I love it too, too bad it damages the hair if we do it TOO often.

Love that shade of purple, Alexa! That's the exact subtle shade I would get, if I could. And that's good that you've left it as it is for a few months now ... I should really do that as well, even if I loved dyed hair WAY too much.

i mean, at the end of the day, its hair, and it grows. and you can always dye it again in a years time or whenever if you dont like the natural look.

i had just realized my hair hadnt been purely its natural color since i think 2009, so its about time that i let the roots grow out again.

Yes I love that shade! I almost had that shade a few months back when the girl toned my hair to high heaven, I'll do that again next time I go to get my roots done.
