This would be easy for me, anybody fighting for their life wouldnt make the list. People that give up their spot for a complete stranger are on the list.
(BTW I said top 10 cause I thought 100 would be overkill. Even though the shows called the 100 I dont think even the show itself has introduced 100 characters [not extras w/o names]. So if you only think of 3 or 5 you want to talk about it's cool.)

Murphy and Jasper die. Good thing Jasper did it for me. Jasper is in many ways like Murphy, thinks he knows something everyone else doesnt, Clarke is this way too but she's selfless generally, Murphy is only trying to save himself or some gf at the time. Saving a lover isnt selfless, I mean it's better than leaving them to die but not selfless. Now if you still put your lovers life ahead of yours even after you breakup and hate them, thats selfless.

Monty needs to learn to love himself. He's like a depressed Glen (walking dead) with engineering experience. Token all around nice Asian guy. He's a keeper.

Bellamy has an unhealthy whatever towards his sister. But i think he's starting to let her be independent after she essentially became a grounder and Lincoln made a cave woman out of her.

I wish Marcus would just channel Desmond's (LOST) harnessing of electromagnetism and just time-travel everyone out of the acid rain Armageddon.

There's so many characters in this show I could go on about but I'll let you guys/gals do that, by the way I'm new here. I'm an older dude that can't really talk about this show with too many people i know because they dont watch it,or they say isnt that show for teenage girls? Prolly is, but i like what i like. I did however get a longtime female friend of mine who is also around my age to start watching, lets see if she does. So wrapping up this long diatribe thats why I joined to meet fellow fans and talk

Lists are always so hard to do, but my choices for top 10, in no particular order and gonna pretend some characters are still alive, mind you:

Clarke - she's a smart cookie, makes hard decisions, but she thinks on a much larger scale (bigger picture) than most, which I think is essential for survival. Also a leader.

Bellamy - he's smart and clever. He knows the people. He makes the hard decisions too. He thinks of the individual, inspire courage and hope in them, which is also important for survival. He's a leader.

Monty - he's one of the brainiacs of the bunch. He's such a smart cookie who is quick of mind, and also the prankster (together with Jasper). He's an engineer apprentice, enough said.

Raven - she's another brainiac. She's a smart cookie, who can make anything work out of air, pretty much. They're screwed without her. She's a mechanic, she can fix anything.

These 4 characters above has saved everyone's asses multiple times already and hardly gets any thanks from other main/minor characters and is a clear given on any list of mine.

Kane - he thinks of the bigger picture, like Clarke, good at diplomacy. He's a leader.

Jasper - he's a smart cookie and he's a prankster. We need the funny guy making people laugh on those boring long bunker days. He's a chemist. Also, moonshine, essential stuff.

Abby - she's a doctor. She can help with anything scientific and medical. Let's face it, the young people get hurt all the time. It's a full time job keeping them healthy.

Octavia - she has potential, with the right guidance and mentorship *cough*Kane*cough*. She's a survivor, like her brother and that experience is important.

Wells Jaha - he's smart and unlike his father, has morals. He's needs to balance out the crazy, sort of a moral 'moral compass' because the other characters moral compass is kinda off.

It's always the last one giving me the most trouble...

Luna - she's calm and peaceful (gonna ignore her turn) and she can give the others the calm of the sea (without killing them). Also, her hair is fantastic.

It's almost impossible to keep to only 10. I struggled with putting Harper, Gina or Octavia on the list, because while I like Gina and Harper as a person, Octavia is not a favourite by far, but she's still Bellamy's sister, so in the end, that won out because everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves and do better by others.

Oh Raven yes definitely a keeper. Beautiful, brains, and has one of the biggest characters arcs of the show.

Also, I'm not a fan of Jaha at all but I think I would keep him on Mt. Ark Bunker because always need someone with different opinions. However I would NEVER give him a leadership position, just let him be an idea man for contrast.

Hmm for me, based on who's still alive and my complete and total biased opinions to characters I like....

All kids for sure, and no elderly people. It sounds awful, but like someone else said in a previous thread, if they're trying to further the human race, then you need the healthiest, most fertile and youngest people possible. And of course, people who are specially trained in useful fields. We don't need Joe the local magician.

The entire concept is so unfortunate because any time you value someone's life over another's it's well, gross.

So for me:

1-Bellamy, even though he murdered 300 grounders he's my favourite character and he's also saved Skykru's butts more than once. Does that mean he should live over them? Probably not, since he did crappy things, but he's also young and presumably fertile.

2-Clarke...for her it goes without saying - she already has some medical experience, she's young, and she's saved everyone's lives repeatedly. Including the Grounders in the bunker, who wouldn't even know about Praimfaya if she didn't like, discover that info.

3-Raven, for the obvious reasons that she's hella smart and awesome and has also saved them all

4-Monty, ditto

5-Abby, the doctor who is presently annoying me, but is a doctor

6-Stupid Jaha because he's a stupid engineer

7-Riley

7-Just kidding, let's switch him with Jackson, who's also trained medically

8-Anyone we haven't met that isn't a dumb murderer with no skills

9-Roan's ghost

Same, Paulina. I can only think of Raven, Monty, Bellamy, Clarke, Kane, Abby right off the bat but I want to properly list down why I feel that they should.

I love your list, Kit. I definitely agree with most of your reasons there. And Lisa's list just cracks me up. Especially the reasons for Bellamy, Abby and Jaha. And Roan's ghost.
