i agree, and it would have also been a better good bye for his character and a better closure for Bellarke fans.

They probably just didn't have enough time to do something like that. It sounds like they had a hard time getting the runtime down to where the CW wanted it to be and even then, they ran a minute over. Gotta get those commercials in!

They were supposed to have 6 days of shooting and it crammed in to 2 due to Covid. Seriously, we're lucky to have gotten the finale.

Ah makes sense. However I wanted to say I am positively surprised the CW hasn't yet another show forced the main characters together. It was refreshing to see an alliance between a man and woman can work out without any romantic sparkles. Yes it took a sad end but before, it was always interesting to watch these two working our their differences for the good of their people. Haven't seen such kind of bond in other TV shows (OK I am also not watching that many but I also haven't heard about it). In this way, Clarke and Bellamy were quite unique.

Sorry! I have so much more to say and I want to continue with my season-by-season analysis, but I've just been super busy lately. My residency application is due next week, a QI project I'm working on is about to go live, I have an exam on Friday, and I still have to be on service every morning at 6:30 am. But I will be back! Maybe in 2-3 weeks.
