Yup, and by extension, it's similar to what Octavia has done. Octavia thought that they could all survive in the bunker but when they couldn't, they implemented the fighting pits and then the Dark Year hit. So, it's a case of a decision made and then having to make other terrible decisions to make sure that the first one was worth it. Whether I agree with this way of thinking is another matter, what I'm saying is that I can understand this mindset. As for Clarke, she made the decision back then to take the bunker by force (which was morally wrong, right off the bat) and after that, it was a case of making sure that that decision was worth it, that her people survived after all that was done to ensure that they did. Again, doesn't make it right but I can understand why she did it.

The difference it is to me though, is probably their guilt/remorse over those actions because I've seen less of that when it comes to Octavia, whereas you could usually tell that Clarke was second guessing herself and feeling guilty when she made some of those decisions. But it doesn't change the fact that she made them.

You know how my view of Octavia has deteriorated this season, so I’m not surprised we disagree.

What do you guys think about Clarke basically teaming up with McCreary to take down Octavia and the others? Or do you feel like she has a plan up her sleeve and plans to use it when the time comes? I feel like it’s the latter, Clarke isn’t dumb and knows that McCreary shouldn’t be allowed to lead Shadow Valley in any way and there’s no guarantee that he won’t kill her, Abby and Madi once they’re outlived their usefulness.

I don’t believe she has a plan up her sleeve. She’s in react rather than act mode right now. She might ultimately find a way to go against him, and I can’t blame her for wanting to go against Octavia. But she’s gotta know that they guy who took delight in shocking her with that collar isn’t a reliable ally.

If this were season 1 or 2, I'd believe she had a plan

Now, I just think she's doing what appears to be the most immediately safe for her/Madi.

Hmm, maybe. I find it a bit hard to swallow that she really has abandoned all thoughts of how she can not align herself with McCreary but yet save herself, her mom and Madi. The Clarke before the time jump would have, IMO.

And like I said before, I wouldn’t trust McCreary as far as I can throw him, I feel like he’s totally capable of killing them all once he and his crew are fully healed and have the Valley at their disposal.

I think for the moment, Clarke's living in the moment and just so centered on keeping Madi, and now her Mom safe. Maybe it's all a set-up so Bellamy can save her

I'm with Madi and say that Clare is on the wrong side with supporting McCreary

and I don't think that Clarke has a plan to betray McCreary at the moment
but if something changes, and she has the impression, that McCreary isn't the better option to team up with, then Clarke will try to take McCreary out
Clarke was always resourceful when it comes to think out a Plan B

I think Clarke’s on the wrong side with McCreary (which is why she won’t stay there), but if the alternative is Octavia’s side, that’s not the right side, either.

I think Clarke’s “plan” right now is a fly by the seat of her pants plan.

Agreed with both. It hurts me to see them on the outs this way, but it also makes sense.

And yes, Clarke is always resourceful so I have faith in her.
