So Clarke's been mostly out of the leadership spotlight so far this season, and probably it's a needed break for her, but at the heart of this show is the idea that she and Bellamy are the leaders.

What do you all think is going to happen? Will she make some sort of move to reclaim a spot as leader? Will she be thrust unwilling into that role again? Right now it seems like she is watching, assessing, biding her time, but it seems to me that something must change for her before we get too much farther into the season.

I don’t know. It’s interesting, because even though she and Bellamy are both technically out of the leadership role with Wonkru, Bellamy is still a leader of a group of people, so he’s been more involved in the decision making than she has. And Clarke has been a lot more uninvolved than he has. I think it’s inevitable that they both find their way back into that spotlight again—not sure how or when—but right now Clarke is farther away from that spotlight than he is. And meanwhile, that spotlight’s just beaming down on Octavia. Or Bloodreina, I guess I should say.

I really have no idea what’s going to happen, but I get the sense that she’s going to find herself on Octavia’s bad side.

At least for right now, I don't see Clarke trying to take back her role as the leader. She could follow into that role again I suppose.

She's pretty much right there on the edge of that April.

Clarke is a mom now ... she doesn't care about having the leadership role
All her thinking is about Madi and herself
But Madi makes it not easy for Clarke, that's for sure
Right now Clarke has to face that she's losing her control of Madi to Octavia
I'm looking forward to see how the Clarke/Madi/Octavia/Gaia story continues

Okay, that's a good point, April ... I think Clarke will watch first how Octavia treats Madi ... and if Clarke has the impression that Madi is treated badly or that she's in danger, then it's possible that Clarke will step up into a leadership role to challenge Octavia

This sounds very likely to me. Madi's likely to be the reason, but I'm 100% sure Clarke will soon be a leader again, even if she wants to just focus on being a mom.

Clarke is like a panther (or something) now...she's quietly lurking around and watching everything, observing, and striking when necessary. I love it. I think the time will come when she'll need to lay down the law in some sort of way, and we'll see glimpses of the old Clarke again. By "old Clarke" I mean the one who was always in the centre of all the business

I was thinking she's like a ninja in the night. Mysterious and suspenseful as we don't know what her next move will be, but mama bear if anyone hurts or wants to hurt her Madi!

I agree, girls. I don't think that Clarke is remotely interested in taking on the leadership reins again ESPECIALLY after seeing what it did to Octavia, after 6 years. Different scenario/environment but still. She seems perfectly happy to step back and let others make the decisions, but still contributing her thoughts/opinions when it calls for it.

But I see her becoming a fierce ninja/mama bear only when Madi or her friends are threatened.
