They got some good, substantial scenes in episode 6, though at what cost?

I can't believe how callous Murphy seems about Clarke, Bellamy's pain over her death and Bellamy potentially dying (even if he initially tried to help). I thought that these two had a genuine friendship.

Really good, meaty scenes between them in 6x06, but yes, Sarah, Murphy is so unfeeling about Clarke’s death. I realize he didn’t care about her on the same level that Bellamy does, but he cares about Bellamy. I do think he was trying to look out for Bellamy at times in 6x06, but trying to manipulate a friend/brother figure who’s obviously in some very deep, emotional pain . . . that’s low, Murphy.

I think it's obvious he totally cares for Bellamy, I think he was just frustrated with him (hence the him dying only comment). That's how I read it, anyway. I don't for one second believe he would be fine with Bellamy dying, we saw his reaction earlier when he got super aggravated at the prospect. At the end of the day, Murphy is always looking after Murphy. I do wish he'd show a little compassion about Clarke, but then again maybe I shouldn't be expecting that from him

I definitely don't think he would be okay with Bell dying either. Honestly, it just seemed like a last little dig, typical cocky Murphy remark, to try and get Bell to change his mind. He just doesn't want to put Bell's life over all of his other friends, including his lover Emori. He really believed Clarke was dead and there wasn't any way to bring her back, so he figured he'd look to the future, to the people who were still alive.

Oh I'm definitely not questioning if Murphy cares about Bellamy. He just has no feelings about Bellamy's grief, which bothers me.
