Bob probably had already read the first scripts before Comic con and it is known that main actors have a meeting with Jason before a season starts shooting, allegedly to talk about how their characters will develop along the season, so Bob has to have at least a brief outline of what's gonna happen to Bellamy and honestly, I trust Bob more than Jason.
