I personally despise orange I see no connection between orange and the show (I mostly say red because of fire [ok fire is kinda orange] and because of blood
Again when I say red, I mean more maroon/browny/super muted dull reds, like 'earthy' reds. Reds you would find in the ground. I think that's what Sarah is meaning, too. Red wouldn't even have to be a main colour, even.

I do like that Wanderlust colour scheme that we looked at, though.

Yes! You put it better than I did but that’s what I associate with when it comes to the reds too. And green because it’s Earth ... but since they’re technically from space, blues might work too?

That's the red I was presuming you meant . It could even just appear in the graphic or some minor place in the customisation

There are different shades of colours. A red/green combo doesn't have to resemble Christmas. Red also doesn't have to be bright/in your face either or the main theme, so no need to worry about someone's eyes. And these are just suggestions.

I'd say grey/green for the main colors (the board colors) and having the brownish red only in the graphic. I'd just like to see a touch of it somewhere on the board. I know that red doesn't get included into like the background of the board anyway. I totally trust Mel / The GT to be able to include it without having it dominantly present

Are those against red against this sort of red or all red shades including more of a dark red which is like brown? Because I know when you hear red you automatically think of a true/bright red (like what is associated with Christmas) but I don't think anyone who is suggesting red means that one. They want a dark shade. It also would be used very minimally or only in the graphic if it is used so no it wouldn't look like Christmas. It may not even be noticeable

I had a little play & ended up with may more colours than I intended to... From what I understand, the majority want the green, grey, & maybe blue shades for the board so that's what I've put together (mostly based on colour schemes liked) up the top. They wouldn't all be used & I don't know if everyone would like them all, but they're just a suggestion. Then I've put red & brown shades at the bottom as some optional additional colours to consider. I know there's dislike for orange so I tried to keep the browns away from that but I think there's also dislike for brown? If so completely ignore those. Then the reds may not be exactly what you had in mind, I'm not sure (& can't remember if specific reds were suggested in the thread?) but I took a guess. I'd say the second red in particular could work well as its a mix of red & brown so could be seen as both

Chelle, those reds are exactly what I was referring to (and exactly, it could even be a part of the banner for example). I feel like the graphics team can be trusted not to give us a Christmas theme!

I quite like all the colours you have there with the exception of that aqua blue, even though it’s pretty too Overall I really like those shades you’ve got there.

If we have to include red, then I’d say the second red is better, the darker one.

I like all the other colors there a lot, but I guess I just don’t see the red as . . . necessary. Like it’s a perfectly beautiful blend of colors without the random red. Seems like that’s what people are wanting, though, except for me and Amelia, so I guess I can suck it up.

Those are great, Chelle! That's close to the colour scheme that I pictured, too. Particularly like the shade of blue (#3) in the first row, #2 in the second row and the red (#1) and beige (last one) hues in the last row. If we want to go with softer hues, these ones are nice too:

I don’t really connect pink with this show at all, but I’d prefer the lighter red (aka pink) to a darker one.

I love the whole first row of blues and greys.
