It was 5 seasons of tension between them culminating in that moment, too. It was amazing. The parallels between that scene and the scene where she was born in 1x06 . . . good lord, it was masterful.

Even back in 5x04, you can tell that he was realizing this was not the same Octavia he once knew and left behind. :(

It’s just so heartbreaking, seeing him try one last time to spark some emotion in her by bringing up their childhood. And he doesn’t get any back. :(

:cry: He did try one last time but sadly, he still got the cold shoulder from her. It’s like all the emotions have left her, for the time being at least.

Since she’s taken her emotions for him out of the equation for the time being (hopefully not forever), Bellamy had to do the same and take his emotions for her out of the equation in that moment.

True, as painful as it is, it’s better for his sanity that he takes the emotion out of the equation until and unless their relationship is truly healing. :no:

I really need to just appreciate the physicality of their fight at some point. Obviously this is not an episode that I choose to rewatch, given my preferences, and the context of the fight was not exactly what I had hoped for it to be. But the actual physical fighting moves are awesome. :nod:
