Yep, that pretty much sums it up. It makes my blood boil and I'm not even Filipino, or South Asian at all. I can only imagine how infuriating it is for someone who DOES see themselves in the representation Bellamy provides.

It honestly pisses me off so much, because racism is still so rampant and it’s usually perpetuated by white people. Also, apparently it’s not possible for some to acknowledge someone’s heritage while disliking the person or the character he plays. At least, that’s my observation when it comes to Bob/Bellamy.

For starters, people need to learn to separate character and actor. Bellamy hate should never go towards Bob. It just really sucks that we still live in a world where it's about what you look like, not what type of person you are.

Bob has really been through a lot in his life. It makes me sad for him, but it also makes me proud of him because of how he’s risen above the hate, the pain, and the struggles.
