You know what’s even worse? I know how this is going to go: Bellamy’s death will be used to provide resolution for Echo’s storyline. Whether you love her or hate her, there is no denying that she is not a well-loved character on this show. But his death will now be used to show that she has grown and changed and can now live her life without someone to follow. Which is not a bad message to send, really, but it’s HOW that message is going to be sent that is the issue. The POC male lead’s arc should not be used as a device to tie up a smaller character’s inconsistently-written one.

Ugh, I didn’t even think of that but of course, that is what will happen. The way Bellamy is always used to prop up every white female character’s growth ... I’m sure that will happen even in his death.
