I honestly can’t even with Murphy right now, but yes it is interesting seeing the vastly different reactions to Josephine as Clarke. Bellamy literally cannot can’t look at Murphy after his betrayal of Clarke and also when he sees Josephine, like it physically pains him to.

Bellamy in general is not someone you mess with. He’s so physical and so strong. But heartbroken Bellamy . . . at one point this episode, didn’t it just seem like he was so defeated that he looked like he had nothing left to lose? And then the second he was free, that switch just flipped and he nearly killed someone.

It’s a common reaction to the news, so don’t worry. Most of us were completely shocked by this news too.

Agreed, April. I read some posts about how he’s been suppressing his emotions and feelings in general because of Clarke’s death in season 4 ... it just hurt to love people so the safest way was to close himself off in some way. But now that she’s back again (and probably also stemming from his deteriorating relationship with Octavia), the emotions have come flooding back in ... so now that he thinks that she’s dead again, the floodgates have officially opened and hell hath no fury as a heartbroken and angry man, I say.

Next week will be interesting, that’s for sure.

Yeah, I’m excited for next week. This season seems to be picking up steam, and that’s good.

I just posted something in the episode thread about how Bellamy must be feeling now, and all that he must be feeling. It’s . . . a lot.

I wonder how Clarke is going to find the ability to fight back.

She’s strong and probably stronger than a lot of the hosts so far (also because they actually volunteered for it, not her). I feel like it’ll be a combination of her saving herself and fighting through it and Bellamy/Madi fighting on the outside to help her as well.

I noticed Eliza did update her Facebook settings since yesterday or the day before, you can no longer see some stuff that was showing on her timeline and she also hid her friends list, which was visible before. That's good. I know there used to be a time when you could make yourself unsearchable on Facebook, but I can't seem to find that option anymore?? Which sucks. Unfortunately, she added that wedding photo to her featured photos and those ones are always public no matter what - she must know that though.

I wrote some thoughts about Bellamy on the episode discussion thread, I'll slap them over here in a minute too.

I think there's something to be said with showing us a short and almost random scene of him sitting there crying and looking super wistful/confused/tortured. What's up with that? And what's up with the closeup of the Bellamy drawing being the last one they show us?

Okay I’ve not had a chance to see the full episode yet just bits and pieces but that hasn’t stopped me from getting a few theories on what may be coming.

1. They might be setting up Murphy to overhear something, maybe a conversation between Josephine and someone that Clarke is still alive, meaning he’ll have to choose between immortality and saving Clarke
2. Are the mind drives being freed up setting up for them to be able to keep Kane and/or Murphy around if Henry or Richard leave due to other projects?
3. I thought in 6x04 they were setting Raven to feel a lot of guilt over Clarke given their last conversation before the body snatch, which may still happen. But after her conversation with Ryker I think they are also setting her up to figure out that Clarke may not be dead hence why she didn’t find out this week.
4. I’ve kind of felt from the beginning that Becho has been written as a Bellarke obstacle and a tool to get to know Echo more than an endgame love story. The most sledgehammer example was 6x04 when they had the Becho fight that came out of nowhere and the only purpose it seemed to have was to contrast Echo’s confusion over Bellamy’s feelings about Octavia and Clarke’s understanding from a few words and then it leads into Echo’s backstory scene. In 6x06 they kind of did it again with Echo focused on Bellamy but Bellamy focused on Clarke. At the same time they were showing Echo’s smarts. It feels like they are setting up for Echo to realise Bellamy is in love with Clarke and a Becho break up. Though I’m trying to not get my hopes up as we have had Bellarke bait before.

I liked your Bellamy thoughts, Lisa. And I’m glad Eliza was able to update her FB settings. Tbh, FB always confused me, hence the reason why I got rid of it. Nothing ever felt as private as I wanted it to be.

2. Not sure. I feel like Richard is here for the long haul, though.
3. Surely Raven would tell Abby not to make more night bloods?
4. This would be the most satisfying way to end that ship, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up. It would allow Echo to start anew, though. I want this so bad, but I have to get my expectations lowered again.

Yeah, this is a tricky one and I personally don’t feel comfortable posting anything from their private FB accounts even if they are aware that people might see it, because it’s public. So, Eliza doing those settings now seem to indicate that she wants people to know as little as possible and people should respect that, no matter how much they want Beliza content right now.

Hmm, interesting. It could be true since it’s obvious that Becho has a very different dynamic than Bellarke and Clarke and Echo are quite contrasting characters as well. I observed that about the difference in the way that Bellamy spoke to Clarke and Echo re: Octavia. He was sad but calm when talking to Clarke but his coping mechanism resulted in him lashing out at Echo instead. And it’s not like the content of their conversations were too different to result in very differing reactions. As you said though, I wouldn’t get my hopes up either because we have been baited and burned too many times before.
