Could be. I think that Clarke said something to that effect, right? When she didn't pick Monty to be on the list, and that he wasn't as experienced an engineer compared to others (Jaha, if I'm not mistaken?). Still think that it was a silly decision, no way Monty didn't earn a spot on the list.

Yup, could be both at the same time.
Raven is as smart/even smarter of course, but she’s also older than Monty so it makes sense that she is considered more experienced than him.__________________

^ High!Monty was the best.
The nuts were bad but at least, he was light/happy for a short while.Right in the feels ... everyone in the GIFs (Monty/Wells/Jasper) are all gone now.    X __________________

Honestly would have loved to see him and the others getting high/drunk a bit, and having some fun in season 5.
