That's a matter of opinion though, I personally think that Monty has been likeable and engaging in many scenes, especially seasons 3 and 4. And I'm not a Jasper fan so I can't say that I agree that he's more intriguing compared to Monty, either.

I also find Monty very likable, though I think Jasper was given more depth as a character. I don't think it's easy to compare them because even though they are friends, they are very different types of characters
