You know what’s remarkable? Monty Green’s heart.

He goes through so much loss and tragedy every season, but his heart stays resilient and kind.

In season 2, he programs the lever right alongside Bellamy and Clarke, taking the burden of it but having to remain strong to support Jasper and the others. And he’s not fine, but he keeps going for everyone else.

In season 3, when Raven is adamant about hacking into the City of Light despite the fact Monty repeatedly warns her against it, and then consequently Monty’s faced with having to “kill” his mother again, he never once blames Raven. He struggles, but he moves on again, and he keeps going.

In season 4, he’s surrounded by loved ones who feel like they can’t keep going, but he’s always there to support them, give them hope, and tell them that there’s another way if they change their mind. Jasper may not change his mind, but Harper changes hers, and so much of that is because Monty was consistently that shoulder to lean on, that constant beating presence assuring her that there was a reason to live.

Finally, in season 5, he once again loses all he has. Luckily, first, he’s allowed to live a happy and peaceful life with his wife and son, but he still has to sacrifice. He has to put his son into cryo, and loses him to cryosleep. Then, he loses Harper to illness, and even then, when he admits he doesn’t want to keep going, his heart pushes on for his friends, to make sure their safety. He does it for Bellamy and Clarke, for Emori and Murphy, for everyone.

Monty Green is so strong it astounds me.

That is SO accurate.

We talk about how smart he is but he's also amazingly strong too. To go through so much tragedy and pain whilst being so young, but not letting it make him bitter ... that is tough. A lot of good titles there too.

And though those quotes came from a fan and not a reviewer, there’s a lot of good potential titles in there, for sure.
