Clarke predicted it from the beginning.

It makes me emo that they didn't really get to say goodbye and especially since we didn't see them reuniting either.

I love scenes like them hugging goodbye when Clarke decided to go off on her own in the season 2 finale. They haven't been so close since then, unfortunately.
