The 100 is doing well at the video streaming rankings ... so the chances should be good that they pick up the prequel

Thanks for the thread, Sonja. If this gets picked up (which I don't see why they wouldn't), it would film next year and then they might try a mid-season premiere. I don't think the ending ratings for The 100 are enough of a lead-in to give a prequel a fall premiere Although who knows with anything, anymore.

If the prequel gets picked up, then I can't imagine that there will be a premiere in 2021.
They have to write the script first, then they have to film the season.
My guess would be a premiere in winter/spring 2022.

That would mean they let all actors out of their contracts, I don't see that happening unless they decided not to move forward with it.

I hope they don't have to do any re-cast, but the actor for August's character might not be available anymore.
So a re-cast for this character is very likely.

I highly doubt they would re-cast the leads unless they absolutely had to? Jason was praising the Callie actress and clearly she's his main choice.

Becca flashbacks would be a good way to really connect it with The 100, and I think alot of fans really enjoyed her character.

Yes, and there's still so much we don't know about Becca ... About her childhood and her parents for example.

How was it for her to be a highly gifted child?
Did she grow up in poor or rich circumstances?

I read an article about Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, today. He already has designed AI's. He's the real life Becca for me.

I hope Grace can find Callie soon in the possible prequel.

We don't have HBO Max in Germany, but a Pay TV channel here shows HBO Max shows. I hope they will show the prequel too if it gets picked up.
