If Best Fight includes arguments, then I for sure know what I'm picking. Although I for sure know what I'm picking if it's just physical fights, too.

Loved reading the answer's about favourite grounder characters so far. Marie, I'm not Echo's biggest fan but I'm interested in seeing her character from a new perspective too. It will be interesting to see her discover things about herself she didn't know existed before because her loyalty didn't let her. Until now she had a very narrow-minded view, serving her people and her queen/king, that was all that her life was about. Quote:

I've been procrastinating on doing days 2 and 3 for like 3 days now so April, you have my permission to kick me in the butt again if I don't do it by tonight.
Can't wait to see the other posts. __________________

It's a good GIF.
I can't post very much on an iPad, seems worse to me compared to phone posting even so kudos to you, April. __________________

Day Four - Favorite Earth-born Male Lincoln kom Trikru source Lincoln is important to the show because he was the first character to bridge the gap between his people and Skaikru. I enjoyed that he was so against his own upbringing, and he chose his own path of kindness and trust (even when Skaikru often didn't deserve his kindness). He made a lasting impact on them -- especially, of course, on Octavia. It is a bonus that a sweetheart like Ricky played him. I miss Lincoln - he brought something different to the show that was desperately needed among the violence and chaos. __________________

Paula, there is no set day, we just cover two topics per week, so post the answers whenever you can through out the week. And even if you don't manage to do it within the week, posting it later is ok too.
Amelia, Lincoln. Will be my choice too but I'll post my answer on Sunday since I'm leaving to visit my dad. Day 3: Favourite Earth-born female character Anya Gone too soon. A great and smart leader who never backed down, always fought till the end, anything to lead her people to victory. She was extremely loyal to her people which is something I admire in people. She came across as quite cold-hearted but I think she was actually caring. She didn't trust the delinquents and to her they were the enemy, so we didn't get to see that on screen but there were some subtle hints imo, like her relationships to Lexa or the scene in which she told Clarke to rescue the wounded girl, she was clearly worried. When Titus told her that the commander sent him to take over her unit she seemed hurt, likely because she realized Lexa, the one she mentored, had lost faith in her. I wish she had a better exit, her death just didn't do her character any justice. She should have gone out being a warrior, random bullets just seemed like a disservice to how she was portrayed. She was also alone when she died, away from her people, really sad. __________________

Day 2: Favourite Ark-born male character Bellamy Blake X No surprises here either. I love both Bellamy and Monty a lot but Bellamy still edges out Monty a bit for me. Like most people, I found him horrible at the start but then, you got to see all these different layers to the character (cliched but true) and that he's a good person whose heart is in the right place but has definitely faltered and messed up (majorly) at times. It's been a hell of a ride being a Bellamy fan, particularly in season 3, but ultimately Bellamy Blake remains a compelling character to watch/root for, even when his actions frustrate me. There's growth and depth in his characterisation and it's beautiful (though sometimes heartbreaking) to watch his journey. We've seen him go from the smarmy jerk who put up a mask of bravado and was called a self-serving jack*** expand his protective ways over the delinquents and do whatever it took to save/protect his people, always. And I also love how the show allows Bellamy to be one of the few men on the show who subverts the male trope and having to appear manly 100% of the time and not show emotions ... it's never shown as weak, even though they have shown Bellamy breaking down in tears several times now, and I think that's an important thing to depict onscreen. Day 3: Favorite Earth-Born female character Maya Vie X This girl doesn't get enough love in the fandom, I feel, and it's a damn shame. We didn't know her all that well, but I love what we saw. She went against her own people (and risked her own life in the process) to help people she didn't really know, all because she knew that it was the right thing to do. "You're a natural born revolutionary." "My mom was the revolutionary, I'm just trying to do the right thing." She proved that sometimes, people are not the product of their environment because she believed in doing what was right (just like her father) and they stuck to their guns, even though it ultimately led to their deaths in the end. Oh, Sarah, I get a kick out of you finally getting around to posting your Day 2 one. Love what you said about Bellamy, though, and that gifset is great! I think we need to add that as a title suggestion in the Bellamy thread.
And yay for choosing Maya! I agree that she doesn't get enough appreciation in the fandom. She was so important when it came to helping the delinquents and then later Bellamy in Mount Weather. My favorite Earth born character hasn't been mentioned yet. And now I'm the one lagging behind because I have to get back on my computer before I make this. Paulina, I am not the biggest Anya fan, but I do love the actress who plays her. I was surprised when they killed her. Look at Amelia, so on the ball with hers. Lincoln. You're right, he was the first one to bridge the gap. Without him, I believe grounder relations with Skaikru would have been even more tense and difficult. |
