We should know around ep 3-4 if they'll get a renewal, right? Apparently the first three ratings play into it?

I don't even know how much they look at the Nielsen ratings anymore, tbh. We already know the Prez is interested in online viewing, which I think is still strong. Let's just hope for the best! I mean, they continue to renew shows with even worse ratings

I thought it was later than that but I could be mistaken. They definitely look at social media presence, apart from ratings, and also Netflix numbers. The show seems to have gained a lot of new fans via Netflix (even now) so that bodes well, hopefully.

They have renewed JTV and My Crazy Ex Girlfriend which both have worse ratings

but those have won awards so that's probably a large part of why they were renewed. Mark Pedowitz seems to love The 100 (as do critics) so fingers crossed, we get a fifth season at the very least. I doubt a six season is possible but at least 5, man.

I don't know why I had 3-4 in mind - maybe it was something I read about those episodes being the most crucial for ratings or something?

Don't mind me, I'll figure it out.

So I've also just read that S4 will be airing on pay-tv here in Australia "soon" or later this year.

Every other year they've fast tracked the episodes so they aired the same day or a week behind... hmm.
