Dammit, the downside to being from the future, eh? I think I'm just going to wait until I wake up to catch up, too. I remember I woke at like 5am for SDCC and it's so overwhelming and exciting that you miss half of it, because you're still half asleep. at least that is something to look forward to tomorrow.

Yup. On the plus side, we have something to look forward to when we wake up.

I really hope so, Kate! A lot of people (including myself) will be bummed if she doesn't make it, especially for those who have bought pictures with her and were looking forward to meeting her etc. Scheduling conflicts suck.

What's news to me is that Bob and Eliza aren't at Day 3 (Sunday) of the convention because Unity Events couldn't afford to have them both days. Imagine that. Sounds like a good life.

I thought the actors HAVE to go to these conventions (or at least have some sort of clause in their contracts about appearances...)

Yep. From my understanding, (though whether this applies to all cases - I don't know) they receive an upfront fee to actually make the appearance, and then receive a percentage of the total from photo ops and autographs, meet and greets etc. They also have a say in how much they charge for their photos and whatnot - an agreed value between both parties, depending on the type of role they have (supporting, main, etc.) That's why Bob and Eliza are both "Special Gold Guests" and the remainder silver or bronze. They can make a hell of a lot out of these things.

I agree and that makes sense. They are bloody expensive though. A meet and greet for Eliza at this one was $100, same with Bob, then photos were $85 for Eliza, $75 for Bob ($170 duo), $60 for an Eliza autograph and $50 for Bob. And then you have your entry ticket on top of that.

In comparison, when I went to Oz Con for example, it was $50 for an Eliza photo and $40 for an autograph, I'd expect that to have been the more expensive one given she had to travel to Australia. I feel for fans who cannot afford these things, because they can be quite ridiculously priced sometimes.

Ooh, that is news to me. I had heard that they're both needed back on set for filming and hence the rest of the cast is staying on while they won't be able to attend. Not sure how true that is though.

As for the con, there's been a massive influx of information/pictures ... mostly on the BroPack thread. Will leave some here though ... very mildly spoilerish, I'd say:
