Why we LOVEBellarke:
I ship Bellarke because their relationship transcends romance. While I certainly hope it goes in that direction someday, I also feel so grateful to Eliza, Bob, and the writers for giving us this beautiful dynamic between two characters whose bond is rooted in friendship, mutual admiration and respect, trust and loyalty, and support. These qualities make them different from so many of the other relationships between young people on television these days. In many ways, they represent the kind of healthy, positive, unconditional love I hope to one day share with someone. For this reason, they are MY rep, and I feel proud to say that. - April7739
Bellarke is not the typical romance. The had to lead first. They had to do what was best for their people first . They had to learn to work together and somewhere along the line that turned into something more. They are built on a foundation of trust, respect and loyalty. These are two people who have been through hell and could so easily have let the world they’re in break them. But they endure and keep going - in large part thanks to each other. Bellamy is a man who gives his all to care for others but is incredibly hard on himself. Clarke sees past his flaws to the good man he is. She believes in him and insists that he do the same. She draws strength from him while simultaneously strengthening him. In turn Bellamy accepts her strength and allows her to inspire him. I love how deep their connection is. They both had to become leaders and that has formed them as a person. And then they had to work together as leaders and that has formed their connection. They have an understanding of each other on a level no one else has or can have. Because they were the only two in that position. Well, what can I say about Bellamy/Clarke? I’ve shipped for many, MANY years but I’ve never come across a pairing such as Bellarke. They’re unique in the sense that their bond transcends a simple, trivial romance and you just end up rooting for these two silly kids to have their happy ending – whatever that might entail. I’d love for them to be canon ultimately, but honestly being able to see such a deep, beautiful, intense relationship and partnership between these two is rewarding enough. So if it turns romantic, it’s just icing on the cake because as painful as this shipping journey has been so far, I wouldn’t give it up for anything because Bellamy/Clarke are so worth it. - Lionheart Queen

The reason I love it so much is not because it's AU
(even though I think the storyline is interesting)
but because of all the shared looks between B/C in the video.
I just felt so much while watching that video, it really pulled at me.

How/why did Alexa begin watching The 100?
I actually started watching in season 1 when the show aired.
I usually check out new shows on tv just to see how they are.
The 100 did interest me to keep watching and I watched all of season 1.
I liked the idea of bellarke a lot and knew there were shippers
but I wasn't full blown back then. By the end of season 1 I kind of gave up watching
because I was frustrated with some of the "platonic" things being said about Bellarke
and the rest of the show didn't interest me enough to keep watching.
Then I kept seeing gifs and such on tumblr throughout season 2
and decided to catch back up with the show so in season 3 I finally got back to it!
So glad I did!
Alexa's Bellarke shipping story is an interesting one.
If you look back in the old threads,
you'll see that she posted in the very first Bellarke one.
To think that she almost stopped all together after season 1.
Definitely 315. It's the first discussion post I was actually there for LIVE so I think that's why it has a soft spot for me.
But in general it was just a really well written episode and in terms of Bellarke it was phenomenal too.
I just remember the "I trust YOU" and the "start with bellamy blake" made me so freaking happy
and I loved all the action in the episode and the funny moments with murphy
and there were also some quiet moments for the characters, like Octavia and Miller/Bryan.
Aaron is such a great writer, so that's probably why it's my favorite.
It took a while for her interest in the show to re-emerge.
And we're so glad season 2 managed to rope her back in.
Many of us posted in the episode discussion threads for season 2 & 3
to try to lure her into the Bellarke thread.
After rewatching everything I think my favorite moment has got to be the 313 scene with the hug.
Everything about that moment was just so pure and so natural.
They were forgiving each other for things they had done.
Seeing both of their vulnerability in that scene was so amazing.
Such great jobs by both Bob/Eliza. And of course the hug!
UGH, it was just a way for Clarke to really be there for Bellamy.
It was such a sweet moment and I loved Clarke saying that they had to work together.
She seems to love protective Bellamy mode
And she's a smutty-subgroup-Bellarker.
Bellamy, hands down. He's hot and in the beginning he was so douchey,
so it was fun to watch him grow. But more importantly he's got so much heart!
The way he looks out for Octavia is so sweet and one of his best qualities.
I love that he's always trying to do what's right for his people and his friends.
He's made mistakes, which is great because he's not perfect and he's struggled.
Watching him go into Mt. Weather in season 2 for all his people
was so amazing to see and shows what a great person he is.
Alexa's love for Bellarke shows through in her talent as a fan artist
and we are very fortunate to have her in our thread,
creating so many beautiful pieces.
And she always brings beautiful arts, vids and gifsets to the thread.
Murphamy. Bellamy and Murphy are my two favorite characters
and I love how far they've come since the start of the show.
Murphy is a very complex character (as well as Bellamy)
so I think when they interact they just bring something fun to the episodes.
She has sacrificed a lot of sleep for this thread.
Favorite Season:
SEASON 1.
I loved the simplicity and the storylines that season.
And for Bellarke they just had so much interaction
and it was the start of them coming to understand one another and work together.
Day Trip stands out in my mind clearly as well as Earth Kills for Bellarke.
Sometimes she's the take-the-opposite-side-Bellarker.
It makes it so much more interesting.

Ummm daily. I check it every single day and I follow a ton of Bellarke blogs
so it keeps me entertained for the entire day as I scroll through.
How often does Alexa get lost in fan fiction?
Not often. I have to really be in the zone for fanfiction and lately I haven't been.
But I will gladly take fic recommendations from others and check them out.
I love longer, explicit (), completed fics with a lot of angst and tension
with quality writing and an interesting plot. Also the characters have to be written in character.
I don't like anything too cheesey. Oh and no babies/children. ()
I'm pretty picky so when I do read and enjoy a fic, it's gotta be a great one.
April and Paula, you guys did amazing with the dedicationals OP. It's so detailed and comprehensive and you can tell a lot of work and love went into making it. More specific comments from me when I'm not rushing but that is simply amazing! I'm sure Alexa will love it too.

There's really no order in mind. We did Alexa's first because she had all her stuff submitted. We can just kind of play it by ear. As long as the person who the thread is dedicated to is around, plus either me or Paula, then we can go with whoever next. (We don't have anyone else's done yet, though. )
