I have a question for you guys, stemming from something we've discussed a lot in the Bellamy thread: In there we've talked about whether or not we would be Bellamy fans if he were played by a different actor.

So, discussion question (sort of): Do you think you'd be such a big Bellarke fan if they were not played by Bob and Eliza?

Yes, I would. I love them for Bellamy and Clarke. Regardless of who plays them. I love Bob and Eliza. But if Bellamy and Clarke were originally played by someone else I would still love them.

Lee and April!! I think I'd love them even if they were played by different actors but maybe not as much as I do now if the actors didn't fit their characters as well as Bob/Eliza or had half their chemistry.

I did see that when I trawled the Tumblr tags earlier but always nice to see it again.

I think I'm with you on this, Sarah. I mean . . . there's no doubt that the writing of their relationship has been fantastic. But I wonder, would they have written the relationship the same way if it wasn't the same actors? (Because I know Jason has talked about how Bob has really influenced what they've done with Bellamy, and I'm sure the same applies to Eliza.)

And there is just the chemistry thing, too.

I think I'd always enjoy the relationship. But I do think Bob and Eliza have sold it to me so that I'm at the point where I ship it.

I don't know. It's weird to even think about.

April - it's impossible to know, tbh. It also depends which half of Bellarke you prefer. Some mind find it possible to imagine another actor playing Clarke, or vice versa - another playing Bob.

I personally can't picture anyone else playing Bellamy, but my love for Bob has skewed my perception of him and I don't WANT to imagine anyone else.

And Eliza does such an amazing job with Clarke that to me she just IS Clarke. I mean if someone else played them we wouldn't know any different, and we're used to them and love them...so who knows!

It's different if you read the books though. It's a different Bellamy.
