Those fades, yes. It's telling that they're the only ship on the show that get fade sequences.

I think the finale was one of the more shippy ones.

That's what I'm saying though. The undertones and the little things make it obvious there are feelings there, but if you are watching the show very casually and not really paying attention to any of that you would totally miss it. And if you were a hater you could totally play it off to be nothing ya know? IDK. BC is a weird ship in that regard for me. Its hard to figure them out.

Its hard for me to imagine how and when they are going to happen. Like imagining a first kiss is hard for me. I cant figure out when it'll be or how the writers are going to do it, if they are going to do it.

I will say this, season 3 was very obviously the worst season. . At least in my eyes. just felt so long and everyone seemed disconnected from one another and I REALLY hated the ALie sl in general.

I don't know about that, Alexa. I actually love that they're out of the box and harder to figure out ... makes them more interesting and the payoff more rewarding, ultimately. I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but it's easy to have two people flirt, quickly kiss and sleep together etc without much/any buildup ... whereas BC have way more emotional intimacy as compared to their previous relationships, period. I'd rather have that for my OTP, anyday.

And haters are going to hate no matter what. BC could be making out all over town in season 5 and you'll still hear them being called friends/just platonic/a forced relationship though there's 4 years of buildup. I don't even care anymore.

The emotional intimacy is SO IMPORTANT for Bellamy and Clarke, and it's really what separates them from so many other ships on TV. Especially in this day and age where it seems like a lot of shows just don't take the time to build ships up the way they used to. They meet in one episode and make out in the next, and it drives me crazy.

My friend is definitely not a casual viewer anymore thanks to our convention experiences, but she has some friends and coworkers who ARE casual viewers, and apparently they all think Bellamy and Clarke should end up together. So I don't think you have to necessarily be a full-on shipper or hardcore devoted fan to see it. And come to think of it, I've got some students who are BC fans who are definitely more casual viewers, too.

Speaking of students . . . Alexa, should I get the books for my classroom? Is it all pretty PG-13?

Yeah, honestly ... if I want an easy pairing to ship, there's a lot of those out there but it's just not worth it IMO. It's the foundation of their relationship, how it develops so deeply and the bond that they build with each other ... it's beautiful to watch. As painful as shipping Bellarke has been (especially last season), it's been worth it. /sappiness.

That's interesting. It's always telling to see what a casual viewer thinks of them, since they're not so wrapped up in the relationship, read into things as much as us etc.

Okay, this is not cool.

I wonder if Bellamy will feel guilty or if he'll be so determined to live on in Clarke's memory and lead his people (however few of them there are) that he tries not to dwell on it.

Wait, last season as in . . . season 3? Because I didn't find season 4 painful at all!

Although, let's be honest, some of my favorite Bellarke moments ever happen in season 3, so . . . I'm a sucker for parts of season 3.

I saw this gif set early in the morning. Ugh, straight feels to the gut. I don't think seeing things like that first thing in the morning is good for ones health. I don't know why I never noticed that look in the pilot.

I think half the fun of shipping Bellarke is that they could easily be viewed as a platonic relationship, if that's how you interpret it. BUT, IMO at this point there have just been far too many little things thrown in that tell me it's something more. That's where my frustration always lays

Alexa I do agree with you btw and fully see what you're saying, and TBH I would have wished to see something MORE by now. If Clexa hadn't happened, then maybe. But with Clexa, there for sure had to be a time gap. Six years certainly seems like enough

I dunno, I just don't see Bellamy brushing aside anyone else's hair like he did with Clarke And we'll likely find this out later but, they had Clarke radio Bellamy everyday for 6 years. Did she radio the others? Maybe! But right now it was all Bellamy

I think that he'll try to grieve privately and then try to move on. Like he said, he is determined not to let her sacrifice be for nothing so that's how he'll respect her memory.

Yep. Somehow, I still don't think of season 4 as 'last season' in my head.

Agreed, I'm sure that there's still be grumbles about her moving on but six years, I'd say that she's clearly moved on and then some. She may be talking to him and the others but it doesn't change the fact that she's addressing him and only him when she radios them. And she's not "talking" to anyone like Lexa or Finn to stay sane, it's Bellamy.

And Bob did say in an interview that Bellamy also needs to heal and learn to accept/love himself first before jumping into a relationship so 6 years will also be sufficient to achieve that, provided that's what happened in that period.

And the hair brushing ... Bellamy isn't physically affectionate so I think that is the closest that we will get to seeing him demonstrate affection (in addition to the hugs, of course).

Sharon, I'd probably hadn't noticed it either but I saw that parallel set after the season 2 finale aired.
