What she says here is just so damn poignant. She wants to know that HE is alive, that she will see HIM again.

I dont think that she knows for 100% certainty that he ia alive or if shes ever gonna see him again.
Theres no way for her to know if the dropship actually made it safely to space, which means that he might died on his way there. And even if he did, she couldnt know that they’ll be able to make it back to the ground.

Also when they were on space they could’ve doe from hunger, but luckily monty got them that weird garden thingy

So my point is that clarke had quite a few reasons to be unsure of whether he is alive or that she might not see him again

Oh, absolutely. That's probably why she wanted to somehow make contact through that radio so badly. Can you imagine how relieved she would have felt to hear his voice, to know that he would someday be coming back to her?

And that would have changed everything. I just don't think there's any way Bellamy would have gotten with Echo if he'd known Clarke was alive. They literally had to put him in space and make him think Clarke was dead in order to have him move on.

Precisely. It wouldn’t have made sense otherwise, they had to make it seem like Bellamy has no hope of seeing Clarke alive again. I would have liked to see him react a bit more to her “death” in the season 4 finale but apart from that, how they did it was perfect.

And I agree, Zohar. She knew that he and the others could survive of course (their odds at survival were much higher than her own) but still, there was no guarantee that they did or even if they did, that they’d ever see each other again. So, it meant a lot if she could know for sure if he was alive at the very least.

Sigh, that would have been amazing but I’ve stopped thinking about what I wanted for them in the season because I wanted so much and we didn’t get even half of what was on my wish list.

It doesn’t help that Lindsey said the “two romances” thing. I still don’t get that, to be honest. That just got a lot of people’s hopes up.
