Why we LOVEBellarke:
I ship Bellarke because their relationship transcends romance. While I certainly hope it goes in that direction someday, I also feel so grateful to Eliza, Bob, and the writers for giving us this beautiful dynamic between two characters whose bond is rooted in friendship, mutual admiration and respect, trust and loyalty, and support. These qualities make them different from so many of the other relationships between young people on television these days. In many ways, they represent the kind of healthy, positive, unconditional love I hope to one day share with someone. For this reason, they are MY rep, and I feel proud to say that. - April7739
Bellarke is not the typical romance. The had to lead first. They had to do what was best for their people first . They had to learn to work together and somewhere along the line that turned into something more. They are built on a foundation of trust, respect and loyalty. These are two people who have been through hell and could so easily have let the world they’re in break them. But they endure and keep going - in large part thanks to each other. Bellamy is a man who gives his all to care for others but is incredibly hard on himself. Clarke sees past his flaws to the good man he is. She believes in him and insists that he do the same. She draws strength from him while simultaneously strengthening him. In turn Bellamy accepts her strength and allows her to inspire him. I love how deep their connection is. They both had to become leaders and that has formed them as a person. And then they had to work together as leaders and that has formed their connection. They have an understanding of each other on a level no one else has or can have. Because they were the only two in that position. Well, what can I say about Bellamy/Clarke? I’ve shipped for many, MANY years but I’ve never come across a pairing such as Bellarke. They’re unique in the sense that their bond transcends a simple, trivial romance and you just end up rooting for these two silly kids to have their happy ending – whatever that might entail. I’d love for them to be canon ultimately, but honestly being able to see such a deep, beautiful, intense relationship and partnership between these two is rewarding enough. So if it turns romantic, it’s just icing on the cake because as painful as this shipping journey has been so far, I wouldn’t give it up for anything because Bellamy/Clarke are so worth it. - Lionheart Queen

I totally get you, April! I often have as favorite lines those said by other characters about my ships. The "you worry about him more" one is definitely on my list of favorites.
As for the quote on the type of love, we know concretely that she loves him ever since 2x09, not specifying the type of love, and we've known she worries about him more since the same episode, so by now the only news(sorta) would be especifying the love (which actually did happen, imo, by the start of season 2, probably around 2x05, where she'd put Bellamy and Finn side by side on her priorities. But, yeah, it's always good to remind people about it, like through the 3x15 scene lol

I have no clue about the 2X05 hug (Lisa1/Kenni/Steph will probably know) but yes, I came into the thread after the s2 finale and this thread was freaking LIT. And 3X02 too of course … some reviews about it came out right before we aired so we kind of had a clue (for those people spoiled for it, anyway) that it was going to be a key one for BC’s relationship. So, when it happened, it was a massive freakout session.

I only popped in a few times after 3x02, since that was my "Bellarke awakening," so to speak. I mainly dived into fanfic after that. But I also was not able to watch live until . . . 3x05, I think. Or did I watch 3x03 and 3x04 live? I can't remember.

I'm often busy on Thursday nights, but sometimes I'm able to luck out and watch things live on Thursdays. Can't remember when that happened for this show. All I remember is that I watched 3x01 and 3x02 online after they'd aired, and 3x05 in the hotel room, and I think everything else I watched live as it aired.

Welllllll they released the 2x05 hug in a sneak peak before the episode aired, so this thread was going crazy with spoiler tags before the episode even aired. I remember sending the sneak peak to my husband saying, "I told you!" And then sending it to my mom saying soemthing like, "I totally knew they were going to get them together." Aaaaaand we're still waiting.
And yes, April, I stopped even trying to come on here all day because it was so slow until now.
It kind of reminds me of when I started making my The 100 research and found the link to the "Clarke kisses Bellamy" scene. I thought it was an actual kiss and that of course they were canon by now... I also thought Clarke and Bellamy had dated before they broke up and Lexa entered the picture.... Little did I know, I'd still be waiting for an actual kiss to this day and beyond

It felt pretty busy when I first joined April and that was around 313 I think. The thread was super fast and then I started posting a lot too and it was like whoa. But it was so fun. . Such good memories. I honestly think thats the fastest its been because you guys werent eve to 10 threads yet and I thought that was so strange since we were going through like 2 a day sometimes.
3x15 . My bellarke feels were HIGH after that. And I think that was the first one I watched live as well.
Not just ff by my internet has been really really slow, is anyone else experiencing that or just me? Its so frustrating.
I was out of commission yesterday with crazy work deadline madness.
