"Wonderwall" by Oasis. I *heart* that song.
Got another vid here to 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia. http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0...J15IVQ5GDCRSUV I hope it's kind of sad, that's what I'm goin' for, but there's some happy moments. __________________

Oh man! I missed a discussion! Eh, I'll give my input anyway.
Before season eight, I had never considered a Joey/Rachel relationship at all. The two just never seemed like people that would get together and have a real, adult relationship like Ross and Rachel did. Plus, practically everyone was rooting for R/R, so it was even harder to picture them as a couple. And then the writers actually put them together. Ugh. I'm with you all that say you can't watch their scenes. I haven't even watched the last few episodes of season nine because it all just feels so awkward and unreal. And what always confuses me is that in season ten, after they break it off because they realize they can't be together, everything goes back to how it was before so quickly that by TOW the Cake it seems as if nothing ever happened between them (which I don't mind, really, because I live in a happy la-la-land where J/R was just a bad dream and never actually happened and now Ross and Rachel are off living in the suburbs with three kids, a dog, a tireswing, and a white picket fence). Lauren - Never thought anyone could do a shipper vid to "Wonderwall" and pull it off, but you did with shining colors. Good job!

Ross and Rachel made me laugh and feel for them at the same time. The shirt episode is touching and hilarious, Ross with that shirt is funny (btw, loved your avie, Lauren!).
I loved that episode when Ross has some presentation, but gave up to take Rachel to the hospital... __________________

You know when Ross loves a girl, coz he gives up the chance to present a show on the Discovery Channel- which for Ross, is like the mothership calling him home- I love the look they share when Ross tells her... it's so touching!

Oh man, I missed the discussion as well. Can I put in some two cents?
Anyway I often think that the whole Joey/Rachel thing as some stupid attempt of the writers to give Friends a bit more drama and heart and well, twist. On the relationship itself I'm against it. I hate it. So much that I always, always skip those parts. But to be fair it did give Joey more character to his comical self. We get to see him mellowing a bit on the love department, seeing him actually like a girl and be in love. But on the other hand, it just shatters this "Joey" I've always had in mind and loved, a lot. He usually who melts the tension, makes you laugh so hard at his once again comical stupidity, and smiles at his good-hearted nature. And this storyline changes him too much for my liking. And on the relationship, it felt weird. Well, yes C/M used to friends first before they got together. But with them, I always notice "something" like when they sit together, he would caress her hair, put his arms on her shoulder, and smile a "smile", well little things that aren't too obvious, but they were there. With J/R there wasn't anything to refer too. Before, they would hug, smile, but that's it. And how Joey transformed from his usual self to his on love self was too sudden. I mean, one pretend date? To make him see past all the 7/8 years of friendship with her? Nah, that's not right. Well, that's just me. Lauren, um can't see the video. It says connection failed. |
