Dear Posters,

Fan Forum began hosting the sixth Annual Fan Forum Music Video Awards. These awards are open on all TV Show boards, and to all posters and we hope you will all enjoy them.

To make the process as smooth as possible we have compiled a list of rules and guidelines to read before submitting your videos. Please read these carefully.

How The Awards Will Work

1. Videos submitted will be judged by the Moderators of the TV Show board submitted to, Or an assigned replacement judge.
2. Moderators of the boards will be allowed to submit to their own boards but judging will be done fairly by all judges.
3. Judges will choose ONE video for each TV Show to win the Best of that TV Show award and will go onto the second round.
4. In the second round the selected video from each TV Show will compete and be judged as the best of each category, Best Angst, Best Romance, etc. The videos will be put into categories at the time of the judging, by the judges. Posters do not decide which category they want to enter their video in.
5. Second round winners will then compete in a final round and ONE video will be chosen as Fan Forum's Best TV Show Music Video.

Rules For Submitting Videos

1. You can only submit up to FOUR videos in each TV Show.
2. Please only submit your own videos, not those of other people.
3. Slideshow videos are not accepted.
4. Videos must be online throughout the judging time. If we can't download it, we can't judge it. This is why we recommend using something like megaupload, SendSpace, or YouTube. Please don’t use YouSendIt as files expire after seven days there.
5. Any videos submitted in the Music Video Awards 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010 cannot be re-entered.

Thanks for putting this up Mél

I'm sure we have some talented posters on this board so if anyone feels like giving it a go I strongly encourage them to do so, it would be great to see some videos for the Friends board.

I'd certianly have time to do this, but I can't unless I can somehow upload the episodes. :/ I can't use torrents so unless I can find megaupload links or fileserve episodes I won't be able to.

Does anyone know where you can find high quality clips?

I know the quality is nowhere near as good as if you had the actual episodes but youtube has a lot of clips so perhaps that would be a good starting place. If you need any help finding clips just ask and I'm sure one of us can find what you are looking for.

There is a list of boards that are participating HERE

If you wish to make a submission to the Friends board then it can be a video about a couple, a character, or maybe just the show in general.

For example this is a video about Ross and Rachel using the song White Flag by Dido

Gah I really really really want to be able to do this. But I don't have enough clips. I have a few, but I need to have one of my friends tell me how to rip from the DVDs. They're not due until the end of the month, right?

I'm sure someone here will be able to help you with that. Or as I said you could always use youtube clips although the quality tends to vary.

Yeah I'd prefer to stay away from YouTube. But yeah, if anyone knows how to get them from the DVDs, that'd be a big help!

Thank you! I realized after I posted it that the title is waay to similar to "With or Without You" and I was like oh, crap, no one will watch it because they're gonna think it's the same song that has like 12 vids to it.
