Can I change my vote to 1.22? Honestly, I don't care which one wins, because I love both episodes so much They both made it this far anyways.

I think the J/R pairing has a good blend of the wild sexual hunger as well as the true feelings of love and respect , just like M/C have. The R/R pairing is all about the serious emotions and not enough spontaneity. I think that, for a truly fulfilling relationship, there has to be both! 1.22 - 3
I agree, J/R to me had that perfect balance of real love, trust & friendship, & passion imo - even though that's what the writers tried to take away from them in the end __________________

But, since they love each other deeply as friends, if the opportunity ever arises where they found themselves alone, 'erotically charged' and/or drunk, and where there's no planning involved, all their old feelings would re-surface and they would surely end up hooking up! In sum, kinda like M/C's London scenario! |

ITA with both of you! As much as the 'break-up' irks me, on one level I appreciate that they were both mature enough to stop pushing it and risk hurting each other some more.

aww, love the way they talk about each other, you could tell how close they were & why they had such a natural chemistry
& I totally agree witth the scenario that one spontaneous night they'd just be able to get over the sex issue we need a title for the next thread! __________________

I also think that Joey would have a really tough time living in LA, even for the sake of his acting career. He would have to watch the Kings instead of the Rangers, the Lakers instead of the Knicks, etc. He would be so confused though, admittedly, not as confused as he would be if he had gone to Paris with Rachel! I seem to recall that someone had suggested this before (or something along the lines): that maybe Joey will go visit M/C in their Westchester home and Rachel will happen to also come back for a visit at the same time. But M/C would have run out of bedrooms to put her up. So ... she will end up having to share the Joey Room with Joey and ... who knows? I can just see Chandler and Monica thinking nothing of putting the two of them together in the same room, being that they have all been such close friends, and M/C would certainly not suspect that J/R might still have feelings for each other. Especially clueless Chandler -- he'd be like "WHAT??!!" in that high-pitched surprised tone of his after J/R admit to M/C their, ahem, daliance in the Joey Room. Because she thinks he's pretty Because she had a crush on him when they first met Because they both like to throw wet paper towels Because they're U-N-I sexy I'll stop there, but as I said before, I'm good with whatever the next title is! DonGiovanna, I agree so much with what you said about it being hard for Joey to adjust to LA. I like the idea of him trying things out over there and gaining more success, but he was an NYCer at heart, he got so homesick when he'd only spent a few days in London, and he wasn't a fan of drastic change, so I see him spending a year in LA, two years max, then moving back home. I love the U-N-I-sexy title too!

Also, remember at Rachel's goodbye party, he even tried to commit suicide off of M/C's balcony! Poor Joey! It's all the more reason he should have Rachel by his side because they had been friends for so many years. Having a constant parade of girls would never satisfy his inner need for familiarity and stability. Last edited by DonGiovanna; 05-11-2012 at 05:56 PM |

I love the balcony scene. I wasn't happy with it at first because it kinda felt like the writers were underplaying J/R's relationship once again, but I really grew to appreciate it. It's so different from the others in that we don't hear what they say, we can imagine their conversation for ourselves, Joey nearly killed himself after Rachel left, she pulled him back and led him inside, and they took a long time to say goodbye. It's perfect! Quote:
