General Comments on TOW Rachel's Sister Babysits (10x05)

Rachel worries that her annoying and self-indulgent younger sister Amy (returning guest star Christina Applegate) is on the verge of making a lifestyle breakthrough, so she convinces her to step up and babysit infant Emma over Ross' protests -- and soon regrets it. Meanwhile, Phoebe unknowingly thwarts Mike's (recurring guest star Paul Rudd) surprise for her and Joey scares Monica and Chandler when he composes a letter with big words on their behalf to a child adoption agency.

Man,I can't wait! The whole episode sounds like it's going to be hilarious.

ETA: Isn't it supposed to be an hour long episode?

The promotional photography for this episode is here:

It is a supersize episode, but it's 43 minutes long.

It sounds like a great episode! Amy was hilarious last time, and she looks even better now.... can't wait to see it!

When the proposal at Phoebe and Mike's anniversary came up for Julie, I automatically was thinking old Julie, Ross's Julie. How cool would that have been? Joey and the thesaurus is also great, such a Joey thing to do. I love Amy being back, too SO far, it's good.

OMG, I'm soooo glad Christina Applegate was back - she was hysterical tonight! I especially loved when Amy brought up their sister, Jill, getting fat, "ass and face", .

Joey was fabulous with his letter of recommendation . Unfortunately, Monica and Chandler really didn't have much to do this eppy - and it was a supersized one. But, regardless, it was a good show tonight .

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was Phoebe's engagement. Am I the only one who doesn't like Mike? I just can't get into this pair. Out of all of her boyfriends I always liked the physicist the best (David?) - ever since the New Year's eppy of Season 1. How cute were they ?

How great would it be if Rachel and all of her sisters were in the same episode?

I liked her sister even more than the last episode she was on. They showed how much more shallow she is

That would be soo funny. Too bad its not going to happen.

I liked that episode a lot. I love that Amy is so self-centered. It's just great. But I liked her first appearance more.

I also liked the storyline with Joey and the letter. And I'm happy that Mike and Phoebe are engaged now.

Aw, I Mike and Phoebe. If only the commercials and print ad didn't give it away.

And I literally laughed out loud over Joey and the thesaurus. I especially loved the "Baby Kangaroo Tribiani," part and that Joey drew pictures. But did the woman on the phone really think he sounded like a child? I was hoping when he first brought up the letter that he'd write about the love that Chandler and Monica "give and receive and share."

Amy's self-centeredness cracks me up, but I found Jill funnier for some reason. I'd love it if all of the Green sisters were together.

So far, this season is infinitely better than last, IMO. I think because they were straining between writing what was possibly the last season, and then stretching everything out because it turned out it wouldn't be.

I'd love it if the whole Green family appeared, including mom and dad.

That would rock.

Yeah, I loved this episode. Finally Phebes is ending up with a decent guy. I really wanted her to find happiness more than anyone. They always have her ditzy storylines, which I love most of the time, and all of her tragic happenings.

The letter with Joey was really sweet. He wanted to help Monica and Chandler out so bad that he wanted to sound smart

I liked this episode.. what was *so* funny was the whole scene between Ross, Rachel, and Amy at the coffee house..
Amy:"I just wanted to give you a present for letting me stay at your apartment"
(Amy takes off Emma's hat)
Rachel:"You pieced my baby's ears?!"
Amy:"Yeah! Doesn't it make her nose look smaller?"

When Ross comes in..
(Ross's moves the stroller back each step to look at her)
Ross:"Oh! Oh! OH!"

Later on in the Coffee House

Amy:"I know what I wanna be"
Rachel:"Since when?"
Amy:"Since today, I wanna be a baby stylist"
Ross:"There is no such thing as a baby stylist!"

I love the whole part where Amy keeps saying Ella instead of Emma.. and when she finally said Emma.. she was like "Oh, sorry.. I mean Ella!"

Great episode! Can't wait til next week!

Can someone like notify somewhere on this board if the ep is supersized that week? Cuz I dont have time to wtach tv anymore, I just set my timer for my shows, so i dont catch ads for shows anymore. I missed the last 10 minutes of Friends b/c of this. Can someone tell me what happened right after Ross found out that Emma had ears pierced? That's where mine got cut off.
