chandler and ross are the same age? rachel and monica? but how old are they (birthyear?)

I don't think they've ever mentioned a birth year for any of the characters. Near the end of season one, in TOW The Ick Factor, Monica mentions she is 26. In TOW They All Turn Thirty, Rachel turns thirty and it is season seven. Rachel and Monica should be the same age, so in the past seven years, they only aged 4. In TOW Red Sweater (Season 8), Chandler says that Joey is 32, making him 34 now and 24 when the show started. In season 4, TOW Chandler Crosses the Line, Chandler says, "I'm 29, who needs a savings account?" making him turn 30 in season five and making him two years older than Monica and a year older than Ross should be.

All that to say, they are all in their early thirties right now, but we don't really know for sure from one episode and season to the next how old the writers will make them [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

but other than that, no they have never celebrated Chandler's birthday.

I would like to add my 2 cnets about the whole ages/birthday mishap; it really annoys me that they kept jumping around and that we never got to see a party for Chandler. (the scene in TOW They All Turn 30 doesn't count) There was even an episode where they gave Rachel a surprise party and she mentioned that Chandler's bday was before hers.

I can't remember for sure, but I do know in the season 9 episode where she met Mike's parents she mentioned a few songs, 'Ode to a Pubic Hair' may have been one [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]. Maybe Alexa can help some more though [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

I just wanted to add to my post about age inconsistencies. While watching TOW Ross Dates a Student, Joey mentions that he went to Spring Break '81 and Monica replies that he was 13 in 1981. That would make him born in 1968, which would make him 36 now.

Also about the age thing, this season during Emma's 1st birthday, Ross mentions how old Joey will be when Emma is 18. I forgot the exact age (it was 50 something) so I don't know if it matches up w/ a 1968 birth year?

Yup! (I know! I was shocked too!) Ross says that Joey will be 52. If Joey was born in 1968, he would be 52 in 2020. If Emma turned one in 2003, she would be 18 in 2020.
