5.0 in the 18-49 demo!
My most optimistic side was hoping for a bit more than 12 millions, and the episode got almost 14.
It did better than FlashForward, and it was put against a "monster" like NCIS.

(I still haven't rewatched the episode, annoying real life got in the way)

The most remarkable thing about Joel Gretsch is that he doesn't seem to age. I swear he still looks exactly like he did on The 4400 a couple of years ago. I find him to be incredibly handsome.

My LOL moment was during the interview when Anna told Chad he could ask any question he wanted just moments after telling him off-camera that he couldn't paint the V's in a negative light. Loved how Morena played that scene. Scott Wolf was surprisingly OK for me, too, and he and Morena seem to have some chemistry.
Agreed. I laughed out loud when I saw that scene.

Looking forward to more V and hope, hope, hope, it will be more than a 4 episode run.
After last night's ratings I'm pretty positive that we'll get the back 9 episodes at least.

I was wondering if I was the only one who thought the older priest in Jack's chuch looked suspicious. I would not be surprised if he were to be revealed as a V.

Yeah. ABC is going to make tons of money with this show in the next couple of weeks.

Ratings update - for the better:
Broadcast finals: V premiere increases to a 5.2 adults 18-49 rating; Jay Leno bests The Forgotten - TV Ratings, Nielsen Ratings, Television Show Ratings | TVbytheNumbers.com
Quote:
V rose in the national finals to a 5.2 /14 adults 18-49 rating/share and 14.3 million viewers. It was the first time an ABC scripted show had beat an original airing of NCIS (4.3/11) in over five years (since 10/5/04). The numbers increased in each half hour (5.0/14 to 5.3/14) with adults 18-49 and also with viewers (14.1 million to 14.5 million).

And the priest outfit looks awesome on him. Even a bit too awesome for a man of church, lol.

My guess for next-V-reveals would be either him, or Ellie (Chad's colleague)

Ellie is a very good possibility too. There seems to be something off about her.

And I know that this is probably a random observation but I noticed that the V pilot was completely love triangle free. Now the big question is whether this is just the calm before the storm or if this could be a completely love shape free story like on Bones but with 8 series regulars in the cast (4 men and 4 women), I find it doubtful that we are never going to see something triangular or quadrangular reer it's ugly head on the show. A Jack/Erica/Ryan triangle would be utter perfection but that one is never going to happen because one guy is a priest and the other already has a girlfriend.

Love triangles.

I can't get over how much I genuinely liked the premiere. It really was well done and everyone did an excellent job. It really exceeded my expectations. Here's hoping it continues to do well. *crosses fingers*

I watched V again last night and still found that to be the LOL moment for me. Anna is so devious with that smile.

Yes, I think that will happen. Just hope the hiatus doesn't kill the momentum.

I know. Love triangles have become my biggest nightmare. The only way I could ever stomach one on V is if it doesn't involve Erica or if Erica comes out on top should they ever decide to stick her into one.

LOL! We should be proactive and stage a writing campaign to the showrunners to let them know that Elizabeth CANNOT be anyone's second choice on this show.

I think we really should because her husband has already left her and I'm pretty sure that he left her for someone else. After Lost, I'm at the point where I'll keep my fingers crossed that he simply turned gay during their marriage.

I was checking some new promos on the ABC website and they mention 18 million (viewers). Where did they take that number from? I was left at 15.

They are probably adding in DVR's. I haven't seen any official numbers around yet but in light of the great live viewing numbers it's safe to say that it was quite high.

I finally got to watch it .. I really enjoyed it. The pacing was a bit off but I think with a few more episodes it will be fine, after all, this was the pilot. I really enjoyed all the characters, in particular Anna, I love her already

I watched the episode commentary by Scott Peters and Steve Pearlman on ABC.com and it was completely focused on the technical aspects of the shooting but there was an interesting tidbit about Liz in there as well. The first scene she shot on the pilot was the one where Erica talks to the Army guy and then ducks under the barrier when he wanders off. She came to set at 6:30 AM that morning after flying in overnight from Hawaii, where she was in the middle of filming the season finale of Lost. And "Oceanic Plaza" was the actual name of the actual building that you can see in the background of the scene. During the filming, they noticed the sign on the building and found out that the name is all about the crash of Oceanic 815 and obviously, the huge irony is that Elizabeth was on Lost for 3 years. Steve Pearlman calls this a "It was meant to be" moment.

That is an interesting tidbit about Liz because the other night when I rewatched the pilot from the DVR, I remember thinking she looked really tired in that scene. Her eyes looked tired to me.
