Michael has been cast in a pilot as well. It's the pilot that has Jennifer Carpenter as lead:

Quote:
Exclusive: BSG Vet Michael Trucco Dives Into ABC's Mystery-Drama Pilot Sea of Fire

Killer Women‘s Michael Trucco is staying in the ABC family with a co-starring role in mystery-tinged drama pilot Sea of Fire, TVLine has learned.

Based on a Dutch series, the drama follows the fallout — including one murder and a disappearance — from the discovery that three teenage girls in a small town starred in a pornographic film.

Battlestar Galactica-alum Trucco will play Pete Harper, the father of the lost lass’ boyfriend (Y&R‘s Kevin Schmidt) and husband to Kristen (Nashville’s Christina Chang). A high school football star, Pete now runs a real estate development company.

As previously announced, Dexter‘s Jennifer Carpenter will play the FBI agent assigned to the increasingly troubling case, while Smash‘s Jack Davenport has been cast as the local sheriff who realizes a dark truth about his “perfect” daughter (Isabelle Cornish, Home & Away).

Trucco’s Killer Women co-star Jeffrey Nordling rounds out the cast as the minister father of the missing girl. (Newsflash: Killer Women is not expected to return for a second season.)

The pilot was penned by Scandal‘s Jenna Bans, who will serve as an exec producer alongside Rob Golenberg, Laurie Zaks, Alon Aranya, David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, Robert Kievit, and Frank Ketelaar.

Laura is engaged:

Quote:
Laura Vandervoort Is Engaged to Oliver Trevena

Laura Vandervoort wore an eye-catching hot-pink and black outfit to the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood party in L.A. on Tuesday, but it was her accessory that got people's attention – she was wearing a huge diamond ring on her left hand.

The Canadian actress is engaged to British actor and host Oliver Trevena, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Vandervoort, 29, who's best known for playing Supergirl on Smallville, has been dating the Young Hollywood host since the middle of last year.

She's currently starring in the werewolf series Bitten on Syfy and is featured on the cover of the March issue of Maxim.

Vandervoort previously dated fellow Canadian Corey Sevier, who appeared in Smallville, while Trevena was linked to Carrie Underwood back in 2007.

ET Canada first reported the news of their engagement.

I wish them the best.

Thanks for all the updates, Alex.

I'm glad Michael and Morena keep getting gigs, same goes for Morris and how busy he has been!

And big congratulations to Laura - I didn't even know (or forgot) she was dating someone. Have they been together for long?

I'm happy for Charles but I can't promise him I'll watch his OUAT episodes. Every time I've checked an episode here and there after S1, I ended up cringing.
Can't wait to see pics of him in costume, though!

Thanks for the latest pics, Fran. I watched the series premiere of Resurrection today and thought it was a good pilot. Mark didn't have all that many scenes, but I did like him as the pastor in the little I've seen. The premiere ratings were pretty good, too (13.90 million total viewers and 3.8 in the A18-49 demo). I know they are probably going to drop, but hopefully, they aren't going to collapse like it usually seems to happen with shows like this.

Not that I know of. I think they started dating in August or September of last year.

Charles has posted an update on his upcoming guest spots:

Quote:

And TNT has released a series premiere date + trailer for Morris' new show Legends:

Quote:
Legends – New Series Premiere: Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)
Screen Actors Guild Award® winner Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings) stars in Legends, TNT’s new, suspense-filled drama based on the award-winning book by master spy novelist Robert Littell. Bean plays Martin Odum, an undercover agent working for the FBI’s Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division. Martin has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. But he begins to question his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t the man he believes himself to be. Legends also stars Ali Larter (Heroes) as Crystal Quest, a fellow operative who has a history with Martin; Morris Chestnut (American Horror Story, Nurse Jackie) as Tony Cimarro, a smart, quick-witted and charming DCO agent; Tina Majorino (Grey’s Anatomy, True Blood) as Maggie Harris, the newest member of the DCO team; Steve Harris (The Practice, Awake) as Nelson Gates, the director of the DCO Task Force; and Amber Valletta (Revenge) as Sonya Odum, Martin’s ex-wife; and Mason Cook (The Lone Ranger) as Martin’s pre-teen son, Aiden. Legends is being produced by Fox 21, with Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24), Alexander Cary (Homeland, Lie to Me) and Jonathan Levin (Charmed) and Brad Turner (24) serving as executive producers, along with showrunner David Wilcox (Fringe). The Legends pilot was written by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor), who developed the story with Mark Gordon (Criminal Minds) and Mark Bomback (The Wolverine). The pilot was directed by David Semel (American Horror Story).

I just watched Charles' guest spot on The Mentalist. Please excuse the shallowness, but I have to say he looked mighty fine during the episode. He also had a good amount of screentime and I thought it was a solid episode overall. Definitely a worthwhile guest role.

I'm also still watching Mark's show Resurrection. I have enjoyed it just fine thus far, but I would like to know who had the brilliant idea to put a married pastor at the center of a love triangle. That storyline is bound to annoy me, I'm afraid.

Speaking of Mark, I saw this on his Twitter:

It's nice to know that they are still in touch after all this time.

And Laura attended the 60th Anniversary Gala of the Humane Society Of The United States on Saturday:

Thanks for all the updates! Laura was looking great at the Humane Society gala.

I can't watch the Legends trailer at the moment, but from the description alone I'm 99% sure I'll give the show a try.

And I find Patrick Jane boring as hell, yet now you're making me want to see that Mentalist episode. Does Charles play a baddie or one of the good guys?

I should watch the Resurrection pilot this week-end. Saw the first episode of Believe yesterday and wanted to squeeze in Mark's show and Crisis, too, but didn't have the time.

Back to Charles - here is a first look at him as Fancy Jack Sparrow Blackbeard on Once Upon a Time:

Charles plays the leader of a ruthless art theft ring. Towards the end of the episode, there's a sequence where Charles is dressed in all-black clothes. That gave me some serious V flashbacks.

Thanks for the promo shot of him in OUAT.

I have found a trailer for Logan's upcoming film Refuge:

Mmmm. Ok, I'm sold, I'll have to find this episode. I'll just fast-forward/skip anything that doesn't have him in it.

The episode just aired, but I can't handle the idea of the possible second-hand embarrassment to see what they came up for his character, so I'll pass. They give crappy stuff to the regular, so I can imagine how it is for guests.

This is one film of Logan I might check out.

Agreed. This seems to be one of his better films.

Bret Harrison has lined up a new series regular gig:

Quote:
Bret Harrison, Aaron McCusker Join ABC’s ‘The Astronaut Wives Club’; Daniel London In WGN’s ‘Manhattan’

Bret Harrison (Orange County) and Aaron McCusker (Shameless, Dexter) have been cast as series regulars in ABC’s 10-episode drama series The Astronaut Wives Club, from Fake Empire, Groundswell Productions and ABC Studios, eyed for 2015. Written by Stephanie Savage based on Lily Koppel’s book and directed by Nick Cassavetes, it tells the real story of the women who stood beside some of the biggest heroes in American history during the height of the space race. Harrison will play Gordon “Gordo” Cooper, one of the original astronauts. His wandering ways pushed his wife, Trudy, to the brink of divorce, but he’s convinced her to come back so he can have his shot at space. McCusker, repped by UK’s Curtis Brown and Kritzer Levine Wilkins Griffin Nilon Entertainment, will play Wally Schirra, another one of the original astronauts who’s also a prankster.

You can mock me, but I read Bret Harrison and had 5 full seconds of "...who?" before my brain kicked in. Sorry, Sidney.

And now for things way better than my memory - I love the colour of Morena's dress!

Thanks for the news and the pics, Alex.

Aww, too bad we didn't get a mini-reunion in front of the cameras.
Thanks for the pics of Charles and Morris! They both looked really good. (I think I like Charles better with his hair a bit longer, though.)
