He was!

I tried to watch the pilot many times, but got bored

I will catch up! Even if the plot won't do much for me, I can always stare at how pretty Elizabeth looks in the SQ costume.
She does look great. One thing I loved about OUAT are the costumes. They go all out.

Perhaps it gets better after the pilot - a lot of series screws up the first episode.

So *that* is how they use all the money they save with the tragic CGI.

She really looks stunning.

Like Elsa's snow monster in the first episode of the season?

Yes.
Compared to that, the storm that was raging on Elsa and Anna's parent's ship looked extremely realistic.

Yes! It somewhat improved the last episode, I think

That's a neat trick, but at first I thought she was getting swallowed by lavender cotton candy.

I should have some time to watch a few episodes of the show tomorow. Fingers crossed.

One thing I liked about OUAT is the dramatic disappearing of magical characters

I guess Regina aces those especially.

It seems like people have been having a positive reception of the Snow Queen character, but are they loving the Frozen arc overall, so far?

I think the Snow Queen can do without the Frozen arc tbh, but there's still a lot of questions that need to answered on her part with Elsa and co. We gotten one flashback scene so far with them and it left us with nothing, but questions I'm more interested in her background and want to know how and why she was trapped in that urn and who put her in there.

From ABC's official website:

Quote:
5 Reasons the Snow Queen is the Coolest Villain Ever

From wickedly wry Zelena to creepy man-child Peter Pan, we love to hate the villains of Once Upon a Time — and The Snow Queen is no exception. Here are the top 5 reasons we can't get enough of her!

1) She's got style!

From her shimmering crystal gown to that incredible ice cave, the Snow Queen has a signature style — sophisticated, chic, and oh-so-cool. In "Rocky Road" she is released from an urn after being in captivity for years, and emerges looking as flawless as ever.

2) She's a teacher, at heart

In "Rocky Road," the Snow Queen is determined to show Elsa that ordinary people can never accept people with gifts like theirs. If that means she has to frame her niece to teach her a lesson, so be it.

3) She always keeps her cool.

In "Breaking Glass," Elsa fights against ice shackles and demands to know what the Snow Queen is up to. The Snow Queen coolly responds, "I'm going to build a snow man."

4) She's got a plan.

The Snow Queen knows what she wants and is willing so do what it takes to get it. In "Breaking Glass," she warns Sidney he's going to need to get a warm coat because things are about get chilly in Storybrooke. Brrr!

5) She's flexible.

In, "Family Business," the Snow Queen realizes that Anna doesn't trust her, but doesn't miss a beat: she simply imprisons Anna and sets out to find a replacement. Uh-oh, Emma!
There are also some video clips at the source if anyone wants to check them out.

I'm two episodes behind. For some reason that always happens to me with this show. I like it, but never enough to continue watching faithfully when it airs, it always feels like I don't have the patience to sit and watch.

I thought the last episode was great. It explained a lot about her

I'm still stuck at the premiere.
How long until her arc is over?

Thanks for posting here that ABC.com entry.

I thought she gave one of the best performances of her career, and that's saying something. Though I wouldn't want her to stick in this show beyond the Frozen arc, better to leave on a high note than to fade into the background.

I'm discovering Robert Carlyle with this show (well, I remember him in 28 weeks later but this movie was horrible, and I just discovered that he was a Bond villain but he is bald and unrecognizable), he's an excellent actor, the scenes of him and Liz playing each other are the best.

It's great watching Liz and Giancarlo working together again:

I still wish they would have had more scenes together in Revolution.
