^ Thanks for the info!

Not as bad as that first line suggested. I was thinking a delay of some months. A week is manageable.

Thanks for all the latest on David's new show.

Quantico (co-starring Graham Rodgers) has been renewed for a second season:

Quote:
Grey's Anatomy, Quantico, and more renewed at ABC

ABC handed out 15 renewals on Thursday, picking up dramas Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Once Upon a Time, and Quantico, comedies Modern Family, The Goldbergs, black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat, and alternative fare America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bachelor, Dancing With the Stars, and Shark Tank.

Though ABC is typically known for waiting to announce renewals until May, the early pickups come on the heels of Channing Dungey taking over as network chief from Paul Lee.

“We’re very proud of our strong roster of performers, and we’re excited about what they will bring us creatively next season,” said Dungey.

Dungey, previously the network’s vice president of drama development, helped develop such ABC hits as as Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Quantico, and Once Upon A Time.

...

New drama Quantico, starring Priyanka Chopra as an FBI agent initially suspected of carrying out a terrorist attempt, has been a breakout for the network this season, with an impressive showing when factoring in Live +7 numbers — the winter finale jumped 100 percent.

And we finally got a more detailed description of JD Pardo's character in The Jury:

Quote:
JD Pardo Joins ABC Pilot ‘The Jury’

Revolution alum JD Pardo is set as a series regular opposite Jeremy Sisto, Archie Panjabi and Kevin Rankin in ABC’s murder trial drama pilot, The Jury. Written by VJ Boyd and Mark Bianculli and executive produced by Carol Mendelsohn, The Jury examines “the ultimate social experiment” that happens thousands of times a day in the U.S.: A person’s fate is placed in the hands of 12 strangers. Described as “12 Angry Men meets the podcast Serial,” the series follows a single murder trial a season as seen through the eyes of the individual jurors, exploring the biases and experiences that influence the jurors’ judgment and how their preconceptions change along the way. Pardo will play Oscar, a U.S. Marine who signed up for the Corps straight out of high school and displays immense pride in his status as a soldier. Pardo is repped by Echo Lake Entertainment and Innovative Artists.

^ Cute shot. Wickedrum, do you know if the GOS cast is doing any promotion (e.g. talkshow appearances) for the show in lead up to the series premiere?

I didn't know that they had made a long feature film out of the Lights Out short! #outoftheloop
It's very likely that I'll check it out this summer, although I'm pretty sure they should have just left the short alone.

Game of Silence premieres tomorrow night - if anyone watches the premiere, let us know what it was!

That's too bad about the ratings, but I'm glad to hear that you've been enjoying the show.

The Jungle Book (2016) is rocking the box office:

Quote:
Box office report: The Jungle Book rakes in $104 million debut

The Jungle Book earned a lot more than the bare necessities this weekend, opening to a whopping $103.6 million domestically and $240 million worldwide.

Disney’s live-action adventure demolished expectations to earn the second highest April opening in box office history, second only to last year’s Furious 7 ($147.2 million). A $100 million domestic opening is a pretty rare accomplishment for a PG-rated movie, and The Jungle Book is only the second PG-rated Disney movie to do so. (Alice in Wonderland opened to $116.1 million in 2010.)

A good chunk of The Jungle Book’s success came from 3D and IMAX screens, earning an estimated $31 million domestically from 3D and $10.4 million domestically from IMAX. Globally, The Jungle Book reeled in $20.4 million from IMAX screens, setting an IMAX record for the biggest PG-rated opening.

After opening in select international markets last weekend, The Jungle Book continued its successful international run by opening in territories like the U.K., France, Sweden, and China, earning a total of $136.1 million for the weekend.

The Jungle Book has been a particular success in India, where it’s pulled in an estimated total of $20.1 million. That already makes it the highest-grossing Disney release in Indian box office history, and after only 10 days in theaters, it’s already become the third highest-grossing Hollywood movie (behind Furious 7 and Jurassic World).

To date, The Jungle Book has raked in an estimated $291 million worldwide and earned an A CinemaScore. Disney also took fifth place with Zootopia, which $8.2 million domestically and $19 million globally. As a result, Disney has officially crossed $2 billion at the global box office for the 15th year in a row.

...

1. The Jungle Book — $103.6 million
2. Barbershop: The Next Cut — $20.2 million
3. The Boss — $10.2 million
4. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — $9 million
5. Zootopia — $8.2 million

Big congrats to Giancarlo and the rest of the cast and crew.

I also found this picture of Giancarlo from a recent Jungle Book cast photoshoot:
