Off-Topic Thread #26: We won't stop talking

New thread time. I thought of a title on the spot. I don't know if it's long enough. It might need adding to.

The title is short, but effective. I don't think it needs any changes. Thanks for opening the new thread, by the way.

Ok, I'm finally all caught up on Homeland season 6. Watching the episodes has been like pulling teeth so far, but the ending to ep 4 was a doozy. The story should finally take off from here.

I saw these pictures of the Olympic ruins in Rio today. Makes me all the more glad that we were able to stop Hamburg's bid from happening.

I know the IOC would never do it because it's a totally corrupt organization, but I think it's about time that the Olympic Games find a permanent home somewhere around the world. Time after time, we see countries shell out billions of $ for what essentially amounts to 4 weeks of entertainment and the population has to smart under it for years to come. I'm sure the Brazilians would have much rather seen their government invest all that dough into better schools, housing, streets, the economy and a proper transportation network but what do I know?

They probably would.

Sigh, while Homeland season 5 finally appears to be picking up, season 7 of The Walking Dead continues to drag on and on and on. It's such a shame because season 6 was soooo good until the crappy season finale and the show has never been able to recover.

Some shows carry on beyond their natural end.

True. TWD's ratings are massive, though, so it will continue for at last 3-4 more years.

Are you enjoying season 2 of Colony, Julie?

Oh, I thought you would be further along because they have already aired 6 episodes in the US. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the episode, though.

I'm trying to last out until it comes to British tv, which will probably be in April. I couldn't wait to watch the first one though so I watched it a few weeks ago.
