I am going to give you one specific example and then I am going to bow out of this discussion. In her interview with South Magazine, Liz talked about her life in Austin, Texas while she's filming Revolution. One of the questions was about her favourite restaurants in Austin. The first thing she says in response to that question is that she spends most of her time with CJ when she isn't working and then talks about a specific restaurant that they have went to. Because of the context of the interview, it's clear that she isn't talking about hiatus time, but her free-time while filming is going on, e.g. off-days or weekends. Now, we know that this (Liz spending most of her free-time with her son while filming in Austin) isn't possible from a logistics stand point because CJ goes to school in Seattle, Washington. I know there are actors who travel home on weekends to spend quality time with the family while they are working on a TV show (Morris used to do that a lot when they were filming V in Vancouver), but we know from the same interview that Liz doesn't do that either. She spends her weekends in Austin. So, the only time she could have spent with her son while she was filming in Austin would be during his school holidays. That was probably also when they went to that restaurant together. This is a classic case of a celebrity embellishing on the truth (not outright lying, but not speaking the full truth either) in an interview.

Regarding her interview to South Magazine and the comment about spending most of her free time with CJ, I always thought Liz was talking about any time away from work. Not exactly about only when she's in Austin. It seemed she was saying she doesn't go out around Austin that much to get to know the restaurants because she has a son and spends most of the time with him when she's not working.

I don't think she lies at all, but she's not going to get into specifics about her private life during interviews. She just gives a more general view of her life. So some things she says may not be the most exact precise truth.

Liz took CJ to Austin during the summer, IIRC. He stayed a couple of weeks over there with her.

It's hard to talk about things we don't know.

I wonder if she lives in Seattle (I know one of her sisters lives in Seattle) or Bainbridge Island.

Maybe she lives on Bainbridge Island and sees CJ everyday or almost everyday (during her free time) and we have no idea.

She mentioned in the interview to Bob that she had taken CJ to school right before giving the interview. IIRC, she mentioned CJ saying she's "home" now, so he wanted Liz to take him to school.

Home to CJ is probably Bainbridge Island, so maybe she lives there too.

It was before the hiatus, she still had one more week on the set.

I believe that if she says she spends the majority of her free time with CJ, then that's the case.

That being said, her work schedule is very busy, so her free time is very little. It is basically 3 months, very few weekends (when there is no filming until the late hours of friday and when there is no early call on monday), some days off and holidays. So I do agree that the amount of time she spends with her son since the divorce is being less than ideal. Although I guess it involves things that don't depend solely on her (work, doing things based on the best interests of her son and the custody agreement).



I wouldn't say she put her career above her son. She's been working steadily since CJ was little. From Santa Clause 3 to Lost to V to Revolution. And she stopped during one year to spend more time with him. I think she was juggling family and career well. Then she got divorced and that seems to be the difference. The main reason she's not spending as much time with CJ as she did when she was married.

I have no problem saying this at all. I care about Liz on a personal level, so I'm curious about things too. If Liz is with someone, who is the "hot man" from Asheville, why Charles Mesure went with her (maybe, I'm not sure about this at all) to WonderCon or what kind of relationship she has with Charles Mesure for that matter.

However, like I said, I don't feel very comfortable to discuss about her private life because we don't know much. But I don't mind your posts and I can discuss about certain things depending on what it is and how people discuss it.
