Exactly my reasoning.

But who knows.

This is from a Debby Ryan fansite, so I'm not sure how accurate it is. Especially because I checked her twitter and couldn't find the mentioned tweet. According to the fansite and apparently Debby Ryan herself, it is a TV movie.

DEBBY IN A NEW UPCOMING MOVIE?!
07/23/2013

[...]

Twitter this afternoon went crazy when they saw that there was a movie called 'Last Chance Holiday' on Debby's IMDB page. On her IMDB page it listed her as playing a character named Haddie.

[...]

A lucky alien [who may have or may not have been myself...] asked Debby if the vine she took of her in a movie trailer with a bunch of 90's throwback clothes and things was part of her upcoming movie. Debby responded that, that was correct! She also stated to a different deboralien that she makes a cameo in a flashback scene where she sports a scrunchy. Can't get more 90's that that. Debby also stated that this movie will be aired on TV around the holiday season.

Because of your post, I searched about it and learned something new today.

Feature films are films longer than 40 minutes. If a film has a running time of 40 minutes or less, it is considered a short film. Feature films are mostly made for cinema, but they can be made for TV too. That's why there are awards for the made for television movies.

I think what also happens sometimes is that a film is made with the intention of showing it in cinemas, but the production company can't find a distributor who's willing to pursue a theatrical release, so they try selling it to TV instead. And if no TV network is interested either, the movie goes straight to DVD or video on demand.

So, for now we assume it's a TV movie? if it's truly coming out this winter, it makes sense.

I'm not sure, it's from a fansite and it's the only Debby Ryan fansite that has such information. We have to wait and see.

Thanks for adding you knowledge, Alex. I don't understand much of how the film industry works, so it's nice to know a bit more.

Thought I'd come share this, the title's been changed to Kristin's Christmas Past and it airs on November 23 on Lifetime

Quote:
Estranged from her family, Kristin (SHIRI APPLEBY) falls asleep alone on Christmas Eve only to wake up and discover it's Christmas morning 1996 and she has to relive the worst Christmas of her life! But this time, Kristin decides to do things differently to change not only her imperfect past, but also her less- than-perfect future. '80s icon and Golden Globe nominee JUDD NELSON returns to the screen alongside Disney starlet DEBBY RYAN and Revolution's ELIZABETH MITCHELL.

You're welcome, I know how hard it was to find more information about the movie so figured you'd probably want to know too

Thank you so much for sharing the info with us, Ingrid!

So we were right about it likely being a tv movie - that was the only way it could premiere in time for Christmas/holidays time.

I hope the Lifetime website puts up some clips and/or movie stills soon.

I was wondering why they didn't wait December to air the movie, but that's because being Italian I always forget that they have Thanksgiving in US and that's holidays time already.

Awesome news!

I'm honestly much more excited with this little movie than the next 6 episodes of Revolution.

It helps a lot that it's a Christmas movie.

It would be cool if Liz has a scene with Judd Nelson. Because yes, I really like The Breakfast Club.
