Juliet #5: "She just continued to be a hero despite herself. She probably surprised herself as much as anyone." -Liz
Juliet: Well, Adam, I am the host and I do pick the book. And this is my favorite book. So I am absolutely thrilled that you can't stand it. Silly me for sinking so low as to select something that Ben wouldn't like. Here I am thinking that free will still actually exists on...
Jack: So, what else do you do besides making sandwiches?
Juliet: I didn't make it. I just put the toothpicks in.
Juliet: No, I'm sorry. Whatever you think I am, I'm not. I'm not a leader, Mr. Alpert. I'm a mess.
Juliet: [to Sayid and Sawyer] You know, it's interesting that you two are now the camp's moral police. I'm curious, Sayid, how long was it before you told everyone on that beach exactly how many people you've tortured in your life. Do they know about Basra? And I'm sure the first thing you did when you got here, James, was to gather everyone in a circle, and tell them about the man you shot in cold blood the night before you got on the plane. So why don't we just skip the part where you two pretend to be righteous. I'm taking that medication back to Claire. And you're gonna let me. Because if she doesn't get it, she's gonna die. And the last thing that either of you need right now, is more blood on your hands.
Sawyer: A runway? For what?
Juliet: The aliens.
Juliet: It's very stressful being an Other, Jack.

Thanks for the new thread. I  the title.
You're welcome  I love it too
I hope Liz will eventually get to play another character like Juliet. And I don't mean that I want her to play a character who is like Juliet. I just want her to play a character who gets the same kind of quality writing. I am thinking of the season 3 quality in particular. That was as close to perfection as you can get.
I hope so too, it would be awesome. Juliet is my fave character ever  I don't think I'll ever love a TV character as much as I love Juliet. I hope she gets to play another character like that too
I thought the writing for June in L&O: SVU was great, but she was only a 1-episode guest star. She doesn't count. :goof: But yeah, I would really like to see her play a very well written and fleshed out character again. No matter the genre or medium. :)
Thanks for the new thread. :flowers:
I love the quote choosen for the title.
I'm looking forward to another complex character with many layers showcased, too. Even when Lost was at its weakest, it had infused most of the characters with such a distinctive backstory and subtle personality traits that you still enjoyed following them. And Juliet was without a doubt the best female figure created in the story. Especially if Liz joins another series with a lot of action or a fantasy/sci-fi plot (like both Lost and V were), where not always the "grey" areas of the characters are properly flashed out, I keep my fingers crossed that she'll be lucky with the role and the writing team she gets.
I think unless Liz were to get a recurring role on Fringe, I would probably prefer for her to branch out of the sci-fi genre and do something different next time around. Unfortunately, the sci-fi genre has went way downhill over the last few years. With the exception of Fringe. there haven't been any decent sci-fi shows since BSG ended. And after starring in 2 sci-fi shows in a row, I think it would be a nice change of pace to see her in a completely different environment. I feel the same way about Laura, by the way. But if Liz were to take on a completely new sci-fi show again, I would be happy and support her in it too. :)
