Lots. I loved the ep where he was seeing Vicky and he drowned himself in the gym pool.

And of course the scene in the gifs when he was punching the wheel/dash when he found out about Tyler

I just realized that Matt is always somehow getting drowned all the time. I don't know how to feel about this.

I love angsty Matt... Zach does such a good job!

Zach's acting was amazing in the finale! His scene at the wheel, where he broke down when he heard about Tyler was so heartbreaking. I started crying. I love Matt and I am happy he got saved. I also loved his scenes with Elena and you see why they used to be a couple. He is a great friend to her. Jeremy and Matt was thinking they were doing what was best but Matt was willing to turn around for Stefan or Damon. I hope we get a Stefan-Matt bromance, next season! As well as a ship with Matt. It will be very interesting how he reacts to Tyler-Klaus. Matt was the MVP for the finale, for me along with Michael & Paul.

I really hope your not right either.. but I also have the same feeling... If he dies I feel like there will be no base for the show... (Watching a bunch of freaks) but he is a (Xander) of The Vampire Diaries

I don't think he's dying Alex, he's the only human w/o some kind of ring or supernatural connection left that's a main. They're not killing him. JP actually values that Matt is still a human and that he's like the only "normal" one.

He was quite proud of himself!

This scene describes Matt the best.. showing he has more emotion and is more human than all of them...

I'm not really sure I understand part of your first post but I totally get the BtVS reference! He's totally way more left out than Xander though, at least before he found out about everything that's going on. But now ya kinda the Xander in that he's the only human amongst all his supernatural friends and he wants to help anyways.

Oh yea, this is like the second time it has happened! It kinda sucked that he was completely unconscious. It's funny when I heard spoilers about the scene being filmed Zach wasn't even mentioned, just Nina and Paul so when the promo came out I was surprised to see Matt involved in it. I would have loved to know about his experience filming that especially since he had to play the most dead during the scene.

Me too! Like I was already on the verge of crying because of another phone call and then to find out about Tyler and see Matt's emotional reaction to it just brought the tears. And then the way he delivered the line 'this isn't how our lives were supposed to be' was so heartbreaking.

Zach knocked that scene out of the park for sure, I agree!
