Stefan and Caroline

If hope is born of suffering
this is only the beginning...

The brooding vampire and the bubbly cheerleader… At first glance the idea of suffering
Stefan Salvatore and cheerful Caroline Forbes sounds almost impossible. But Caroline’s
initial attraction to the mysterious newcomer proved to be the s t a r t of and interesting
relationship between the two. Determined and driven, Caroline jumped head first into her
crush on Stefan. But her actions were quickly dismissed by Stefan who failed to see past
Caroline’s surface image. He soon found himself caught in up in the lovely Elena Gilbert.
Caroline graciously stepped aside as her good friend started a hectic relationship with her
previous crush. Through out Stefan’s relationship with Elena, he and Caroline formed a
timid friendship. In a shocking turn of events, Stefan even proved to step up and become
a s a v i o r to Caroline when his devious brother Damon put her life in immediate danger.

Fast forward a year later and Caroline herself is the danger. Newly free Katherine devised
a plan to t u r n Caroline into a vampire, sending a message to the Salvatore brothers. This
message proved to affect Stefan greatly. He immediately positioned himself as Caroline’s
protector and m e n t o r. Saving her first from Damon and then from herself, Stefan gave
Caroline hope. His faith in her thus far has been unwavering, much like her trust in him.
Understanding and comfort lies between them, & there’s no telling what will come next.

Because he was the only one who could calm her when she broke down.
Because he helped her wash her face and comforted her in the bathroom.
Because when he grabbed her face and made her look at him she calmed.
Because he showed her how to control herself and gave her hope.
Because he promised her he wouldn’t let anything happen to her.
Because she broke down in his arms and he hugged her while she cried.
Because he vowed to make sure things would not end bad for Caroline.
Because he has more faith in her than anyone else.

I loved what kind of improvement season 2 showed compared to S1 in general and how it was more well written and suspensfull, plus we got so many amazing SC scenes, but S2 also made few mistakes that I hope S3 won't make again and it definitelly has to be even better for SC because their relationship should be explored more

Writers did say a few things that made me not hold my expectations too high (like for example that they will keep doing some things for shocking effect and it's not like something I can approve) but I really think we should trust a story, not a story teller. We will see and lets hope it's gonna be good, especially for SC. And especially since this quote exists

Yeah, I'm not too fond on the shocking effect either but I think that now Candice is a huge part of the show, to me she's just below the triangle, the shocking effect won't be used much on her. I don't think we're gonna see Caroline dead for example... If they do that, I can honestly say I might stop watching the show

The thing is that I can handle my favourite characters' deaths and any surprizing or shocking plot twists when they are done right and make sense. But when writers do something "shocking" for the sake of shock it only ends up being annoying and puts people off a show. IMO, writers should focus on telling their story and on character developement, not on doing some nonsensical things to make people angry or make them talk about it. And what I dislike the most is how then they say that we just did what we wanted, we don't care what you think, it's our show and we are so independent, though what they are doing is clearly an attempt to get a certain reaction from fans and it's way too obvious. And I really hope TVD is not gonna follow that formula because I had to give up on so many modern shows because of it

And I really don't think Caroline will die or anything like this in S3. Though if something like that happens I'll definitelly think about whether I should stay or not for season 4.

I just can't imagine TVD doing stuff like this, it would be just so immature and ridiculous, and that's a thing that I don't see TVD writers doing it or being it

I've been more surprised with TVD than with any other show ever so the shock value is there. We may not always agree with it but later on it makes sense for what they did here and there.

You want shock value? Make SC a couple in S4

TVD is one of the rare modern shows I was actually able to stick to, because I believe in it and they don't do such cheap stuff like other shows tend to do

But however, they did it on different occasions in S2 so I really hope they won't repeat themselves in S3. What I like about TVD is that they have a tendency to progress and learn from their mistakes instead of having a "we don't care what you think, we do whatever we want though we clearly need your attention" kind of attitude.

Yeah, I also didn't like some stuffs in S2 as well, but as I said, it was understandable. For a good part of the season I didn't like how they treated DE, but at the end of the season it made sense and I was very happy

Yes, I think sometimes they didn't treat Damon's character right and destroyed his developement for shocking effect which I didn't find right. They seemed to really learn from their mistakes though and in the end they tried to make up for them
