ok so I have a question cos im a bit confused. Didn't katherine die because she took the cure? Because she was to old, so she basically had to catch up nd died? at least thats what I remember about it so doesnt that mean that only elena and caroline,etc can take it cos they haven't been a vampire for too long? o:

I think Elena's mother, Isobel mentioned Damon's love during Season 1. Probably 1x21.
The first time Damon declared his love was during the 2x08 "Rose" episode. For me I never could take Damon's love for Elena seriously until he reunited with Katherine again so I'd love to believe it happened in Season 2 because I feel Season 1 would've been too earlier because he still had the 145 years of love of Katherine on the brain. I think even Ian stated (during Season 1) that Damon is confused because he see this woman who clearly is the doppelganger of who he loves. 2x01 showed that Damon love for Katherine was still there and he was ready to take her back if any of her feelings for him were actually real. So, I believe that Damon fell deeply for Elena during Season 1 but I wouldn't call it love just yet even if it was on the urge of going that way and the love happened mid Season 2. There is really not defining answer for it though. |

I agree with you, in season1 he was surely still very confused
I think he started falling for her already in season1, bc she surprised him in many ways, but season2 is definitely the one where he realized his feelings were real and deep and different from those for Katherine We DErs always pushed for a #WhenDamonKnew moment  __________________

I know they had to age Hope to a teenager but really dislike the 7 year jump
especially considering not seeing how Klaus reacted to Stefan's death - Klaus saw him as a brother__________________
