I don't think the twins and Tyler are in the next episode. They aren't in the synopsis. But I'm guessing we'll get plenty of them in 6x03. :) we'll open it then.

I think some, if not all, of their family members are in the coven they talked about. We'll most likely see at least one parent, unless they're orphans.

Luke mentioned their family twice and it seems they don't have the best relationship. In 5x20, he tells Stefan that his family doesn't look out for him & Liv and in 5x21, he tells Liv that the gang is a lot nicer than their "screwed up family."

I think their parents or guardians are part of the coven that threatened to kill Luke & Liv if they didn't kill the doppelgangers. That's why the twins don't seem to like them.
