Delena is the only reason I ever got sucked into watching TVD. Fans were robbed when Delena did not get more scenes in the final episode. That was the big finale fans of the show wanted. That is what had kept so many hanging on through the mediocrity of Seasons 7 and 8. If it hadn’t been for Delena, this show wouldn’t have made it past Season 1.

I think it was probably the awkwardness between Ian and Nina at the time, wasn't it? I know they're in good terms now and were on good terms through most of the filming even when they weren't together, but wasn't there an awkward phase that happened right around that time? I feel like we were robbed in the finale, too, but at least we can say endgame, and we had a beautiful journey

I know people wanted more, but if you think about it, we not only got them spending their lives together but they even had an afterlife endgame.

About the Nian situation I don't have an opinion, it's such a mess. Just glad Nina made it to the series finale.
