The look on her face, the way they connected at those moments. That's what works for me. I said to myself, this is phenomenal. There is real chemistry between Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev. New thread - a lot of our images are missing

But yeah, this is shocking and depressing news. I don't watch the show anymore, but I still had hope for Stefan/Elena. The show is mess now though, so I get why she wants to go. And it's probably awkward with Ian/Nikki. So oh well. We can just hope for the best. Hopefully we'll get some beautiful scenes before Elena goes away...wherever she is going?

TFTNT! It's a huge bummer that Nina is leaving.

I really really think they should just end the show...I mean...it seems everyone's a shipper of either SE or DE. They'll lose all their viewers.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.

I guess I'll just have to go back to seasons 1-3 for my SE fix from now on. :/

I was seriously SO shocked when I saw the news. Like this is crazy to me. It's kind of like Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton leaving One Tree Hill...it just doesn't make sense to me. At all. Why keep the show going?

Like how can Chad leave his own show, how can Nina leave her own show...it's even stranger with Nina because she truly IS the show. All the characters revolve around her. Lucas on OTH was a main character, but so was Nathan.

I think having the show go for another season is a HUGE mistake.

this is not my ship but heard the news about nina leaving which is sad but feel guilty about stelena and wanted you to hold onto hope for this pair

stelena mit have a chance even with nina leaving think about it if julie plec wanted to she could bring in another actress to play elena and put elena's body inot that actress as elena and then stelena could be endgame

Same here I stopped watching TVD awhile back when they messed up Stelenas journey but I've always hoped they would gravitate them back together. I'll always love the way Stelena started and built up in the first few seasons. Best wishes to Nina. Will be interesting to see how the ratings look for the final season - might not be pretty.

Same here. I used to love TVD but it became too much like a teenage soap opera for me. I used to love Stelena together, I stopped watching somewhere along season 4 but I always hoped that Elena and Stefan would find their way back to each other. I always figured Damon was a momentary thing and Stelena would be end game. It sucks that she's leaving. Best of luck to her.
