Ah yes, the Elena-turned-Damon-into-a-puppy-discussion. If they want Damon to remain a bitter, cold-hearted serial killer without goal or family/friends ...be my guest. Elena didn't change his character...she removed his mask and brought the REAL Damon out of him. Fighting villains, protecting the people he loves...THAT'S badass. That's the Damon we fell in love with. Elena gave Damon everything he was looking for. I never liked Datherine...even if she looked exactly like Elena. No, he deserves better. And I'd choose Alaric a thousand times over Enzo.

Villains are more populair than heroes these days. I get it that bad guys (and I don't mean anti-villains were you're supposed to root for) can be entertaining or interesting. But people always find an excuse to hate the main character (TVD, OUAT).

Exactly, they're both and they complete each other, don't get why Elena should be the carbon copy of Damon in everything or him hers She has more moral compass than him, he is more willing to do darker things and don't give a damn (even if he grew up in this), so what's the problem, I don't get it?
