I assume bc this time we know it's the end.
But yes, they handled it poorly. Everytime I teared up the scene changed and I was back to square one again.
But alas, tbh I expected worse, maybe that's why I'm not that mad

That they did screw up, thats out of question.

i'm thinking I did the same bc I have a whole different feeling towards DE when I look at the pics now. hopefully it will pass away just with the disappointment.

Elena and Damon's speech was the only good thing, but I wanted more, I wanted a "I'll wait for you"... not that I don't think they won't, but still.... I'm glad Elena proved until the very end she knows he's not a monster but a better person, I'm glad she called him "the lofe of my life", I'm glad for the kisses and even the dance, even if it was too DWTS

Yep, he said she knew that he was a bad person to save the witch instead of the "love of his life" and she answered back saying that she knew "The lofe of her life" would have been better than killing off the witch

So what happens to Elena during this sleeping beauty spell. Is she aware?

It is interesting to read about how people feel now and how we felt after 3x22. There is no comparison for me. I was so hurt and angry then. Now I'm just...meh.

They didn't say it I believe, she was aware during the dreams they gave her, hope for her she won't be while she sleeps, but her subconscious knows she won't see Jer or Rick (or Matt and the witch) anymore

I can't compare that anyway, bc 3x22 made me jump on the DE train like nothing else and actually made me believe in their endgame

So I'm not really a fitting example to DE fandom about that

Actually I had the impression it was the other way around. It wasn't them giving Elena dreams, it was Elena doing it. Otherwise it wouldn't have worked with Bonnie, Jeremy, Alaric ect.
My impression was that they had to hold her hand so she could take the control

this yes. I guess i'm just over it. they didn't really have a cliffhanger either so who would want to tune into S7?

I think Caroline and Stefan, being vampires, helped the humans to give dreams to Elena, how can she do that being a human otherwise?

They held her hand to make a contact with her, and then vampires allowe humans to enter her mind

She noticed they were troubled so she was conscious of what had happened, but they were in those dreams, not sure if she'll still be only sleeping
