What exactly did they think would happen? It`s like they were completely detached from what the fans want. Elena has A LOT of fans and I won`t even mention the huge fanbase DE has.

Well, I hope they get used to ratings that are under 1 Million, because season 7 is going to lose a lot of viewers after what they pulled this season.

Guess she understimated Elena Gilbert for real: hate her, love her, despise her, honor her, but she's the sould of this show, she united people in 5 days more than what shipwars have separated them for 6 years

And 3/4 of Damon's charm comes to his relationship with Elena, how she changed him, made him better, challenge him, and viceversa His journey is linked with Elena's one forever, you take her away, he'll be like dead

It's the trio show. The three of them have been through hell and deserve to be happy. You take away Elena from Damon, he's going to be more than desperate and sad, there will be literally DARKNESS for and into him (no pun intended, not my fault )!!! There is no life for him without her
